Cos playing with a striker is?You really do not understand football if you think a false nine would work with this group of players

Played in a UCL wining team
You are having fun today , just fuck offA missed penalty from a player who contributes nothing else but score is a much bigger transgression than a missed penalty from a player who does other stuff too. He needs to be benched as punishment imo.
I can't tell who the other is supposed to be, since the above apply to both.Once was a thread, Sergio or Erling
One was a world class player who won games for us
the other is……..
False nine was with raz, sane ffs , jules , a peak gundy and kev and an in form phil. It would not be possible nowCos playing with a striker is?
Sergio was world class and would regularly win us games, sometimes on his own, not sure Erling is at the momentI can't tell who the other is supposed to be, since the above apply to both.

I can guarantee it would be better than carrying a passenger, which Erling is right now...You really do not understand football if you think a false nine would work with this group of players
Fair points but i am a 100% sure pep wont do itGot to disagree with this - particularly with Haaland as the striker alternative. Clearly he's not getting enough of the ball, or enough chances, because the team behind isn't doesn't have as much control.
Pep's philosophy is control, and that comes from overloads. When Haaland arrived City had to adjust further back to compensate for his lack of involvement (and Haaland is the only player in the world good enough to make up for that lack of involvement). Currently, without any of Stones, Ake, Walker or Akanji being at 100%, we're not fast enough to take as many risks at the back, and without Rodri in midfield we're not blocking as much going through.
A false nine gives us an extra player to take back a little of that control, and hopefully create more space for our attacking players to start scoring more goals.
I don't expect Pep will try it, because the fixtures coming up give us a chance to get back on track, and I doubt he'd want to put more pressure on Haaland.
He could still run about. He's completely lost his confidence, we officially have no one who can consistenly score now, thanks Pep and Txiki for selling Alvarez, genius move.
Glad to see yourself and @kaz7 getting back together again.can guarantee it would be better than carrying a passenger, which Erling is right now...
We were the right team for him in his first season..His head has gone.
We don’t play to his strengths, in fact, we’re probably the exact opposite of the team he’d thrive in and he’s not trying hard enough to get involved in the game and change the way he plays. Is he being told to stay where he is and not come for the ball? I honestly think he needs a couple of weeks away. I don’t think he has the mentality that many think he has and to me it looks like he’s struggling/sulking/confused.
His penalty was shite today, not really arsed, every player misses them, that’s just football. I’m more bothered that his kit doesn’t need washing again after him being on the pitch for 90 minutes.
