Jesus christ. Of all things to be angry about, a wry smirk from arguably the one guy who has done his job this season is the one thing some decide to fixate on. Get a grip. Listen to him speak even once and you can see he's got a personality where he doesn't let anything get to him. He's shrugs everything off with laughter.

vvd has said something to him he laughs it off and shows the mind games dont work on him. It's nothing, we don't need fannies trying to make it into something.

Yeah, if he was more angry, those zero chances we created for him today would definitely have got us a goal...

We created nothing but he offered little. He's a flat track bully against the top sides.

What are you expecting him to offer? That's simply not true. When we provide for him, he will score, thats true for any opponent.

The team being completely unable to create anything for him against better opposition isn't his fault and creates this illusion he doesn't do it against the better sides when the truth is it is the players behind him that cannot do it against better sides not him. Stick him in that dippers team or even the Arsenal side and he's bagging for fun against everyone and both those sides would swap anybody to have him. We are failing him, he's not failing us.
 
The best finisher in the world and we don't even get the ball to him, he must be utterly bemused at times.

Did not like the interaction with Vandyke at the end, I want to see him angry and pissed, he is unplayable when he is in that frame of mind.
 
This is an open question, it's not having ago at the player in anyway, I am just interested in peoples views.

Next summer if Real or any club outside the PL came and offered 200m for the big fella, would you take it?

Unless the club sign the next De Bruyne (Wirtz or whoever has Kevin ability to create chances)

I would, the guy is a goal machine but I am struggling to take to him in many games.

He is a strange character at times, when he is fired up and in that bullying mood he is incredible and a joy to watch but my word there are many games when he seems to be going through the motions.

yes, this is certainly an issue that has to be addressed.

but equally, Haaland's movement in the box at Anfield was poor. If you look at the times Doku had it out wide, he did very little to make those 3 or 4 yard runs into space, especially the near post, he just stood like a statue at times. Both are issues, we need to get the best from him again.

No issue with letting a player leave when he wants out but has to be on our terms.

19 goals last season and no one replaced him, what a strange decision by our club.

Don’t think it ls all that strange. I’ve come to terms that the club are worried about 115, there’s simply no other explanation for our board, how clever they are to be so stagnant when the squad has glaring obvious signs of weakness.

Time will tell, found guilty on top of the current situation and we are royaly *ucked.
 
Wasn’t good enough yesterday. Nowhere near enough movement and his close control was terrible, tripping over the ball.

But he’s been one of the only ones who has done anything for us this season so he has some credit in the bank from this season.
 
Scoring under is xg this season, scored 4 under his xg last season.

It's not impossible a more all-round striker could score just as many goals based on the chances we're capable of creating for them.

The fact he can't seem to be dropped seems one of the major weaknesses in the squad.
 
a backup striker is definitely on my priority list in january, both to rest him but because his form merits dropping. you can't blame it all on deliveries anymore. Doku has had some deliveries to really nice areas today that any striker could only dream for and he was nowhere near, and a lot of it was down to poor positioning and just plainly not making enough of an effort in the box.
