Finally an intelligent rational post, but this is where your argument collapses. Madrid is notorious for trying to solve important issues exactly by adding in unnecessary and unneeded position. This is literally how Florentino operates. Hes not building a squad, he is collecting stars. He did that with Mbappe and it made the team worse overall. I honestly want him out, but nobody is challenging him.

Anyway time will tell but I have been around for a long time to know when there is smoke and there is always fire if there is.

so your evidence of haaland "hinting" and "sending signals" he wants madrid, is he complimented the stadium and misses one of his best friends in football who just so happens to play for madrid as well?

fun fact: the bernabeu isn't the only stadium he has complimented in football and bellingham isn't the only player he misses in football. those don't mean he wants madrid as much as you want to push this agenda

Its neither here nor there. The truth is if Haaland wants to play for Madrid, it will happen. This is the power of footballers. It will be costly but a 10 year contract wont stop it.

That said, 1) Haaland is enjoying things here so far. So no worries for now 2) Madrid already has a striker just as big in Mbappe. 3) Madrid currently has many more important issues than adding an unnecessary and unneeded position.

So there really isn't anything to worry about over Haaland going anywhere. And its fools gold to worry about a far distant future like that's unknown.

I think you needed a striker when you acquired Mbappe. Trying to acquire the 2 best number 9s don't make sense. No matter how dumb Florentino's decisi5n making might be..

He is on a 10 year contract. They can have Haaland if they pay the freight which for them is about 500 million. I would have said 400 but boycotting Rosri's ballon d'or is worth an extra 100.

The problem is Mbappe is a winger that we tried to shoehorn into being a striker, the same way two decades ago we tried to shoehorn Beckham into a central midfielder when he was a right winger. And it unravelled the whole structure which was already at the tipping point then as it was now before Mbappe. Or in 2015 when we bought James Rodriguez when we already had Isco, Bale and Di Maria. Florentino simply never learns...
