9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

Looked far from "goosed", and that powerful run with ball was exactly what he should be doing more of.
Looked much more lively today than at Sunderland. Could have scored two in the first half, unfortunate with the one they hit the post, was saved by last ditch tackles after Yaya style burst forward on his own from scoring two in the second half n’all.

Played really well, took it to Chelsea and made some excellent runs both to receive the ball and as a decoy. Felt like Foden and Cherki took the wrong option with their final pass too many times today, either delaying playing Erl in or playing him in when the other was in space.

Haaland is never going to eschew the middle of the box for launching himself at the front post as it simply isn't a good place from which to score goals.

Him and City's backroom staff know far more than the people on here.

But Aguero scored about 5 of his 260 goals from the front post so it must be very effective, don't be fooled.
