If it was a straight choice between Jesus staying because he is 1st choice striker next season and therefore benching Aguero, or leaving because he wants to be 1st choice somewhere else, which option would you choose? Personally, I would make Gabby 1st choice. Controversial?
Not controversial at all, I too would take Jesus

Jesus deserves the chance.

Sergio is the legend.... But it's time to move on
See, this is the kind of post that I find hard to wrap my head around.
Move on? Aguero was quality in his last game, Jesus was quality yesterday.
Why does that mean we move on from the best CF the league has seen in the last 10 years when there’s still plenty left in the tank.
People are far too reactionary when it comes to this subject.
The chances are next season will be Agueros last and whilst he’s still doing what he does there’s room for both of them.

The problem is there might not be room for both. Jesus seems to be running out of patience after 4 seasons as back up. He's plenty good enough to be playing up front for Barca when they try to replace Suarez or any other top side, I'm sure he'll have loads of offers out there, and realistically he's being held back by playing second fiddle, we can see how much better he is after a few games in a row.

Pep needs to find a way to accommodate both on the pitch or he might have to start weighing up the value of 1 more season of Aguero starting vs. keeping Jesus long term.

Aguero's been fit for 15 PL games this season and started 10. That balance of starting games might need to swing more towards 50/50 rather than the current 66/34

I get that, Dom. It’s a conundrum that Pep will have to deal with and find a solution to.
My problem is when posters decide that Agueros time is up - I disagree wholeheartedly with that and find it strange they can reach that conclusion.

Im pretty sure all those comments are within the context of the long term/short term Jesus leaving debate started a couple of pages back.

Maybe. Just if I read a comment saying it’s time to move on then that’s exactly how I read it.

Jesus must know he's not going to be the first choice striker whilst Sergio is here so I can't see how Pep can keep him happy beyond this season
