And clearly not good enough by any objective measurement of his finishing and goal return this season.

He should have scored from the chance in the second half, but I think you all are being harsh calling the early chance a sitter. He received the ball on a turn with a man between him and the goal and had to take a snap shot. It’s a decent chance, obviously, but not a sitter by any stretch. Also, just as a double check, his xG for today was 1.03, which basically lines up to the eye test.no, he wasn't. He's a striker and had 2 sitters, and missed both. Did he try really hard? yes. Do I appreciate he ran his arse off? yes. Does he need to buck up in front of goal? yes.
