Both judging by Pep's criticism of our finishing this week, criticism of everyone bar Sterling for the first half and that he felt the need to risk Aguero.

And clearly not good enough by any objective measurement of his finishing and goal return this season.

for you or Pep

no, he wasn't. He's a striker and had 2 sitters, and missed both. Did he try really hard? yes. Do I appreciate he ran his arse off? yes. Does he need to buck up in front of goal? yes.
He should have scored from the chance in the second half, but I think you all are being harsh calling the early chance a sitter. He received the ball on a turn with a man between him and the goal and had to take a snap shot. It’s a decent chance, obviously, but not a sitter by any stretch. Also, just as a double check, his xG for today was 1.03, which basically lines up to the eye test.

It appears to me that Pep is going to be very comfortable with Jesus taking over from Aguero. Our next signing will be a player similar in ilk to Sterling, can play across the front 3. We won't have another focal point like we do with Aguero for a while.

Aguero is of course expected to leave into the sunset with Pep so we will see what happens.
