All round, I think he's playing the best football of his career. His link up play, his dribbling, his ability to hold the ball up is all fantastic. He is the obvious leader of our defensive press, he's organising everyone and picking his targets really well. The play to put the ball on a plate for Cancelo was absolutely brilliant.

He's smart as well, he won us 3 or 4 fouls in this game to take Arsenal's momentum away or kill the game. He ruins the opposition's attempt to press because he will go and bail out any midfielder under pressure.

Some people will say he's fantastic but just not an out and out striker - I disagree - I think he's building up to absolutely explode. He's got a mental block on his finishing right now, but it's not a skill he lacks because he was scoring those chances in 2017 when he arrived.

Sooner or later that cork is going to pop and he's going to have everything.

I would imagine that Pep really appreciates the role he plays in the team despite the criticism he gets on this forum for not scoring regularly.

People will use that one effort he had against him, and fair he didn't do great, but let's not make it seem like he had alot of chances to begin with.

It's the weakest part to his game right now, and if we relied on our striker to mainly score our goals then it would be a problem, but we don't, our striker has to do so many other things too.

If Cancelo finishes that chance he gets an assist from his dribbling, his pressing is also very strong, list goes on. So glad to have him.
One of the CommentatorBalls in the latest Eye included Cancelo. Apparently, Lianne Sanderson on R5: I don't think Juventus underestimated him. They just didn't realise how good he was"! I could make a living out of punditry if that's the best!

Should have started, he's in great form. Some great all round forward play, his hold up and link up play was superb. should have hit the target with that run that ended with him aiming for tier 3 but as cameos go that was top class, has to start against gladbach.

You can’t handle that he’s keeping Aguero out of the action. Any offside or any shot that doesn’t go in, you jump on him and ignore everything he is doing that’s great.
Definitely, every jesus topic you are just waiting for kaz , she needs to realise people just raise their eyebrows at her blinkered jesus post, I love sergio but he can't do it at the moment, I still think he's got an important goal or 5 in him though, late on when jesus has run the opposition ragged

Football is football, like Mr Fabian once said - the basics are permanent..

You can have 3 best attacking midfielders of the world in the same line-up, but you still need at least one forward..

So, it was obvious that team needed GJ on the pitch. I think Debruyne as the False9 is very bad idea..

Not his biggest fan, thought he did good when he came on but Jesus Christ he cannot finish to save his life.

Nothing to do with sergio , he has been injured for a year ,he is not keeping him out of the team

That big cock up by raz and he gets slaughtered , it is worthy of comment

I repeat i see what he brings to the game but he is not the striking answer

Nothing to do with sergio, seems the boy has to never be critised for anything

But maybe you not got a "thing" for Sergio.

Or criticised for everything, you are constantly digging him, he is the striking answer because he's the only forward that can play, he leads the line better than anyone else at the club, he pulls defenders all over the place, of course he could score more, but he's more than that to the team, I said I expect sergio to score some very important goals at the end of the season, but we need jesus to get us there because sergio can't
