That must surely be according to Pep's instructions, no? Him and Kun play in a very different way, and I'm guessing Pep opts to use the strengths of every individual player.
 
As others have said, I think we would get the best out of him on the left where he can take players on and make the most of his dribbling ability.

My thoughts too he is good at going into space, he can’t occupy and bully centre halves like Aguero does. He can’t take the ball in front of a defence and hold it, thats why you don’t really notice him for long periods of a game. I’d sooner have him wide where he has some space to operate and can take a defender on.

Yes and then with Sterling right we’d have a front 3 all easily capable of double figures for goals
 
He needs someone like David Silva to play those small passes and tiki-taka movements with him and that's where is really dangerous for the teams.

Right now especially when Debruyne is playing - it's about crosses in the box and that's very difficult for him.

But on the other hand, when he drops back, takes the ball - plays small passes and dribbles and does those movements of his - chances become to create and Jesus has more opportunity to score the goal..

I noticed how difficult it was for Arsenal to control and handle him with those drop backs and dribbles from the middle and etc.

Grealish maybe ? Can it be the answer ? :)))
