It will be interesting to see how City handles contract extensions for its other star players now that it's broken the bank for Shaw. Will they be extended or will City pinch pennies and let some of them go to keep its player payroll manageable, signing younger, cheaper players to take their place.

Hemp said this week she turned down Barca a few years ago. I can see her, justifiably, asking for at least half of what Bunny is now on.

She’s the standout centre forward in the EWL in my book. Expensive or not, retaining her services is excellent news
