90's Dance & Old Skool Classics

Just as a matter of interest this is the song that got Black Box into legal trouble with their huge hit 'Ride on Time' .... this is the Chicago singer who's vocals, and song, were used 'illegally' by the Italian house music group to achieve the huge success of Ride on Time , trouble was that they NEVER asked her or her record company for permission, saying that they believed her to be 'dead' ...... when in reality, she was far from dead, livid, and then promptly had her record company, Salsoul, sue them bigtime in the courts.

Anyone listening to this video can clearly hear the vocals and rhythm, about halfway through, that were 'illegally' used in the chart topping Black Box dance track ..... and were then mimed by singer Katrin Quinol , a french model/actress, who was specifically brought in , and said by Black Box to merely 'fit their image' for the song ... although she was retained to do some other work with them at a later stage.

Following the court case the track was later re-issued with Heather Small (M-people) as lead singer.

This guy's channel on you tube has 2 playlists of hardcore tracks from 1990 - 92. I don't listen to this type of stuff anymore, but it was what I mainly was listening to in 91/92. I just went through about 300 videos of things I haven't heard since 1992. I've got these two in my record shelves somewhere.
