99% of Online City Fans - Uneducated in Football

Hello Blues,

Not posted in along time, but to be honest i have to make a point which i'm pretty sure has probably been made several times before on Bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk.

After every match, it seems as though there are hundreds of 'fans' slating our own players on this forum, calling for their heads, saying they've never been good enough etc etc...

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and that's what makes online forums great however, it's getting ridiculously embarrasing to be honest, i would go as far as saying that half of the members on this forum have no footballing knowledge whatsoever.

Jolean Lescott is a prime example today, he is a quality player but after a poor game today, most of you want him out, calling it his 'last game'. This is stupid, he saved us the game the other week against Blackpool on several occasions and deserved MOTM in my opinion.

Yaya Toure is another great example, your opinion of him changes after every game, when truth is, he could walk into most teams in the world as could a few of our players in fairness.

Sorry for the rant, but i just think it's getting ridiculous and we should be getting behind our own players! Slag off Gary Neville all you like, but for christ sake, don't slate city players and don't base an opinion on ONE GAME. Everybody has bad days, even in the Premier League, so lets just accept that and get behind them for the next game!

Again, sorry for moaning but reached boiling point over Lescott as he is a fantastic player and was definetly my MOTM just a couple of weeks ago.
Couldn't agree more. The guy sat behind our kid today wanted Dzeko off after half-an-hour. It beggars belief.

Good shout
. Apparently there was booing in the ground too at some stage in first half? Didn't hear any from where I was in South Stand though. Excellent game today - it had everything, highs and lows and maybe The best Tevez goal I've seen. Happy Days.

There were a few boo's at half time but they were for the ref.

Lescott hasn't done that badly of late , i agree ... but the challenge he made today was the catalyst for the Wolves comeback , it was needless and reckless , and it's understandable that some fans have had a go at him ...... he needs to weigh situations up a bit more before diving into them ...... i do agree he played really well against Blackpool though.

This standard of inconsistency is what frustrates, and subsequently, deems players of his like not good enough i'm afraid.
As such, supporters will complain as his mistakes will eventually cost us dear.

Provided their posts are reasoned,i don't think people need to be ashamed of,or apologise for, expressing their understandable concerns and opinions.

It's nothing to do with a lack of knowledge in my opinion.

It's just knee jerk nonsense. We play well and win and we're the best team ever. We play poorly and we're shite and Mancini must go, Silva is wank, Ballo is wank etc etc

We are not allowed an opinion unless we belong to the "inner circle" of BlueMoon".

I do not subscribe to this bollox and am vllified accordingly.

I agree with the OP wholeheartedly. The crowd grumbles were clear on TV and mentioned by the commentators.

The journey from low to high expectation within our heads and how it manifests itself through behaviour would probably provide enough material for a PhD. Assuming you could get a reasonable grant to attend matches (home and away), I think I'd have a go myself.

while i cant get my head around his chalenge to give that penalty today, could you imagine if he did that in a cup final at 0-0

Havent read the entire thread, however Vidic made a massive blunder against Villa in last years CC final. He is still considered one of the best CBs in the world.

I agree totally with the OP. No player should be slated for 1 game, if a player is consistently rubbish, then by all means give some criticism, but not after one little mistake.

So on that note, how shit is Jo? :-)

Agreed. It is not as if it is week to week or match to match, it is minute to minute. I think it is just a human reaction, no different from club to club. It is difficult to stand outside it and observe, especially when it is your own club involved. The waves of emotion, both positive and negative, today were intense and fascinating.

In short,

FOOTABALL IS GREAT......................
