A Bit More of City Dissapears.........

Anyone who can't be arsed to travel up the road probably doesn't deserve a job anyway. They will get rid of the dead wood by relocating.

I have to respect those who post what I am thinking :-) You have got it spot on!! If they don't want to work for Kitbag - no problem - get another job!!

I think the more important issue is they are being outsourced and no longer work for the club.
Personally I wouldn't like it as guessing that a big part of the job is the feeling that you are working for City and not for a sports firm, but can understand why they are doing it as will save money.

How does abit more of City dissapear really?

The people who are employed by City probably don't even support us so they wouldn't care.

i happen to live in f**in middleton, also residence to a fair few of the city squad...
the reason for the move (of the warehouse) is due to the logistics, location and cost.

middleton sits (in gtr manchester, just 6k from the stadium itself with convienient access to the M62) hell of a lot cheaper than its current location.. just ask aldi, tesco and a whole host of the uks top companys..

kitbag by the way is europes leading and largest provider of sportswear and exclusivly produces online for the following Man Utd, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Everton, Celtic, Aston Villa, West Ham, Portsmouth, English FA (football), British Lions (rugby), RFU (rugby), Umbro (sports apparel), F1 (Formuala 1 racing), Wimbledon (Tennis merchandise), Ryder Cup, Open Tour and European Golf Store

good move gary cook, saving the pennies and putting us in fine hands. thumbs up from me.
kitbag may produce on-line gear for man u , chelsea etc. but this deal means they OWN city's merchandising arm . how the fuck is that a good move? even desperate man u arnt that fucking stupid

He never mentioned losing jobs just moving to Middy, fuck me i know lads who travel 40 miles to their work each day.

actually the letter the staff got to-day , Wouldnt rule out "certain positions within retail becoming obsolete" i.e job loses

Yup, in cases where kitbag already have a setup I guess.

Not taking sides, but when ever I've been in the store during the week there seems to be more staff than customers.

Also. The choice of merchandise on offer is very limited. It certainly doesn't tempt you to get your wallet out. I was in the store today and there were more people milling around the sale section of the store than in the rest of the store. What does that tell you?

City really need to take another look at the store, how it's laid out and what they sell. It certainly isn't reaching it's full potential. And that's a fact.

By bus ?
I'll spell it out, single parent wakes kids at 6.45am drops kid off at childminders at 7.30 & gets to the City warehouse at 8.........single parent is then told he/she will have to go to Middleton.
single parent wakes kids up at 5.30 am drops them off at childminders at 6.15 gets 2 buses then gets to City Warehouse in Middleton at 8,just an example.
For some people it makes a fuckin big difference.
People lose jobs when things like this happen, it's fuck all like a few pissheads going 40 miles in a van smoking dope until they get to Liverpool to dig a fucking hole.
