regarding Oldham Athletic's proposed move to the Lancaster Club on Broadway , Failsworth . i know a few blues who live in the area who aren't too chuffed with where the new ground will be . it can't be more than three mile away from Eastlands ? . is that nearer to city than the swamp ?
do you think the dibble will make sure that city and oldham are not both playing at home on the same day ? could see problems occurring , especially in the boozers up and down oldham road . and of course you've got the likes of leeds/millwall in the same league .
plenty of blues would travel up and down oldham road on matchday . i'm one of them .
just a thought .

I read an article on the BBC Sport site a few weeks back about how fixture lists are compiled, the impression I got from that is that City & Oldham would not play on the same day anyway. I havn't checked this so I am not sure.

Basically it said that every fixture effects at least 7 other clubs, often more (they have to go from the Premiership down to Division 2, so with 92 teams, I think, to account for, it is quite time consuming!!)

More than proposed now mate... Oldham Paper last night carried the story that the council has transferred the land lease to OAFC... Thy expect to be there 2011. much closer than the swamp! No way will City & Oldham be at home on same days...

So when it happens we can't sing "the only football team to come from Manchester" anymore. Its M35 postcode.

Manchester Athletic eh hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Dont worry there's not enough cobbled streets round there for Oldham fans to ride their bikes home from the match!!

So what's happening to the frozen tundra that is Boundary Park?

Proposed Sale to a housing developer... which will pay for new stadium...

would it really kick off that badly (apart from when dirty leeds and millwall come up)? cant see oldham fans causing that much trouble (lets face it we outnumber them about 8 to 1
