A Case for Dismissal

This is a very convincing case. The big thing for me come the end of the season (he obviously wouldn't lose his job, if he does, until then) will be our final league position. £100 million invested in the playing squad and finishing 9th would indicate no progress in the team. To be honest the highest it looks like we'll finish is 7th.

At the moment I'd VERY happily take 9th. We should really be clear of it but with the away fixtures we have coming up there's a possibility we could slip worryingly far down the table.

Excellent points and I agree with all of them. We could either do a Chelsea and get Grant, Sven or Scolari on a temp contract until the end of the season then regroup from there and if the manager in charge does well, sign them for longer otherwise get someone new in.

Hughes has shown his tactics are below par and he can't handle these Brazilians and thats why Scolari would be a good choice. The Brazillians will WANT to play for him and when the Brazillians play well, so does the whole squad. He can convince Jo to come back a new player and we can surge up the table.

Can only find record of him playing one first team game for us. But nice to know you've set your agenda out by naming a player with one appearance as if he was a back four stalwart. Why don't you just say you want Hughes out without the bullshit. Makes it easier. By the way another post of yours you named Schuster as a potential successor to Hughes so i'll ask you the question again, what has Schuster achieved at club football?

The OP went to the trouble of explaining why he wants him out, and I for one agree with him, but why don't you do him the courtesy of explaining what it is he is wrong about? Nahh. To tricky isn't it?

I agree , we need change and now.
How can Jo become shit when we sign him and then go to Everton (where he is played as a striker with a supply from the flanks ) and start scoring .!
City play to narrow !!!!! Fuc* this its time for him to FUCK OFF

I remember reading when our new owners bought the club that they had looke at Chelsea's spending and we're surprised it took only 400m to gain some real success.

I'm concerned we've already spent a quarter of that now and sometime very soon we have to start seeing some new shoots of success appearing, an undefeated run of games for a start would be welcome. The owners will at some point draw a line in the sand with Hughes and expect results and performances to improve.

I don't believe Hughes has it to win a title, maybe a cup and maybe not, and that really is the crux of it for me. Either Hughes or the next manager HAS to get it right because the owners, no matter how wealthy, surely will not continue to sanction hundreds of millions to Hughes, another manager or even another manager afterwards in the search for success.

City need to start improving and returning some of the investment in the owners belief that we are the club to have invested in.

I'm not expecting silverware as a given but I am expecting a decent run of games undefeated to show we are becoming a more cohesive and consistent team to challenge in the near future. I don't think thats too unreasonable to expect.

£100m? Take a look at this. This was our spending *before* the January transfer window:

As you can see we had already spent more than any team in Europe and since then we've added what - another £50m or £60m?

The results are just not good enough, are they. Whichever way you look at it the team is woefully underperforming for the amount of money spent over the last 2 seasons.

I was asking him a question regarding Schuster. When i want your opinion on it i'll ask you. There you go, isn't tricky after all.

Cant wait for this season to be finished.

It's the same every season.

Luckily I drew a line at away games and 'armchair' them on the web at least at home we put some effort in.

As I've said from the start Hughes is not a winner. If he had £500M to spend after being given the Barca squad you still can't see him out thinking a top manager and getting a result in Champs Final.

I was hoping he'd be gone around WBA away/Forest etc. but it looks like he's here til May.

Can't wait for the season to be finished!!!!
