completely overrated IMO

Have to agree.

Wasn't it banned for years? I wanted to watch Clockwork Orange for years but couldn't get hold of it on video (this is going back some years). Finally got hold of a copy and remember really looking forward to watching it, only to fall asleep. Twice!!!

Did manage to watch it all eventually but found it pretty boring.

I think it lost its edge after being banned. Worse films started to emerge and people were less shocked. Looking at it again, it didn't give have as much enjoyment as it had in the past

I think the word mrcunny is looking for is : "Groodies"

His excellent early film was of course " Dr Strangelove Or :How I stopped worrying and learnt to love the bomb."
Brilliant Sellers !

Interestingly, Anthony Burgess, the author of the book was born in Harpurhey, not far from CoMS, then moved to Moss Side. He certainly went to Maine Road as a boy.

And, the actress who took the part of the woman who's attacked in the film also had ties to Manchester and to Moss Side, her mother's family were living near Upper LLoyd St when City moved to Maine Road.
