I think a lot will depend on how things end.

In 2004 people would have talked about an era of Ferguson vs. Wenger, they'd shared the last 7 titles - 4 to Ferguson, 3 to Wenger.

No one would have predicted that was Wenger's last title or that his Arsenal side would never get that Champions League trophy they wanted so badly.

When we were taken over in 2008 it had been pretty much the same top 4 for a couple of decades. In 2008 the gap from 4th to 5th was 11 points and there was a further 10 points to us. Since winning the league in 2012 our league positions have been

Scoring this 1 for first, 2 for second etc that’s 19 over 11 seasons. Over the same period the rags score 44, Chelsea 43, dippers 47, spurs 49, arsenal 53 - the nearest is more than double ours. Given how much all teams change over a decade, our consistency is phenomenal and an absolute testament to how well our club is run, how good the recruitment is, and how we manage to evolve unbelievably well. All those teams have spent a lot of money over the decade, but none of them come close to us. It is weird how little credit we get for this.

People over-egg the old Sky Four thing.

United Arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool finished as the top four just 5 times ever (2003-04, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09). It was barely a ‘thing’ in the grand scheme of English football history and certainly not a thing for a couple of decades (Chelsea got promoted with us in 1989 and only finished in the top ten, four times in the 1990s).

But I do agree on the rest, the consistency of City is fantastic. The level of praise we get for it is pathetic.

“Within one point of the title twice” - that’s straying dangerously close to Special Achievement Award territory mate. They were 2nd, they lost, they finished behind us - as they’ve done for every season but one for over a decade.

Chelsea have matched their CL wins this decade. Leicester have matched their PL and FA Cuo wins. The rags have matched their League Cup wins.

There’s a Big One and that is us, everyone else is vying for 2nd
