OK, my "she who must be obeyed" has just emailed me from work - she fancies watching a thriller tonight, but with true female style she hasn't got a clue what she wants to watch.

Has anybody got any suggestions, as to be perfectly honest the last film her workmates recommended was bloody Paranormal Activity (I thought it was absolute pants), however I would put the following criteria in:

1. She is blonde and has an attention span of slightly more than a goldfish.
2. She is a Geordie
3. That is all

Any help would be appreciated

Here's a few to consider

The Lovely Bones - About a girl who is murdered but hangs around not able to move on, watching as her killer continues to live in her neighbourhood, looking for more victims.

Shutter Island - DiCaprio is a cop on the trail of a killer sent to a hard to access mental asylum. Set in the 50s I think and has a few twists and turns.

Dark Water or Apartment - If you want to make her jump, and she has the attention span to read subtitles (doubtful given your info above!), go for the Japanese versions of Dark Water or Apartment.

The girl with the dragon tatoo. I watched this last week and it was the best film I've seen for ages.

The constant gardener... recently watched it, not what i was expecting at all... Thought it was just going to be some romance story but its not.
