A fantastic time to be a city fan.

I don't normally post in the main forum when we drop points, the carnage is too much to take, but well done OP.

This is a stressful year but we it will get easier and our position just shows how hard it is to succeed and therefore how much it will mean when we do.

I have waited nearly all my life, whats another year. If we had won today I believe "they" would have have folded, but I still believe we will still be there.

Rather than argue amongst each other, we need to properly get behind the team. It is obvious that when the stadium is bouncing we push forward with a better tempo and score more goals. We are definitely a momentum team.

We have nothing to lose this season. Let's celebrate what a great year it has been and look forward to a glittering future. As I said with the pressure off us now we might go to places like arsenal and play free flowing football.

Before I go all dewy eyed I just wanted to say that unlike most of you I've not been a lifelong city fan. 10yrs ago my now father-in-law asked if I fancied going with him to watch City play Arsenal at Highbury. Being a Welshman who followed his local rigby team I'd never been to a premiership game before and my local rugby team was being merged with a local team as professionalism took its chunk out of welsh rugby. I needed something to grab on to and this seemed like as good an opportunity as any. It was an amazing game, think we lost 3-1 or 3-2 but the thing that grabbed me was the support. My rugby team was renowned in Wales and European rugby for its supporters and I never thought I'd find something like it but there I was in the away end joining in with the songs and having a great time. I was hooked. My father-in-law then got a season ticket for his sons and I to share and spent a good few 8hr round trips to Manchester as well as an FA cup match at villa park where Micah scored his first goal. Since then ive seen the changes as you have, I was there when we beat mourinhos almost perfect Chelsea, robinhos first game amongst other great matches.

So what am I getting at? Well it's my b'day and ive just unwrapped a large parcel full of city t-shirts and other stuff. Yes I'm gutted we drew yesterday and that it's looking less likely we'll win the league THIS year but I'm still over the bluemoon that my wife's dad is a blue. There really is no other team or set of fans id rather be associated with.

I'll be at the emirates next week where, depending on what happens tomorrow the pressure is likely to be off. City are likely to come 2nd in the league SECOND! And we thrashed them at their swamp! Lets go there, play the football we know we can play and most of all song our hearts out! Let's make it a day to remember, lets remind the league we're not going anywhere. We're no flash in the pan and we will be back at the top next year. Let's drop the shackles of expectation and bring back what its like to be a city fan. After all, if there's ONE thing ive learnt the most about being a city fan is we're city and we dont do things the easy way. Its what defines us as a club and I'm proud of that. I might not be a lifelong blue, I might not have the accent but my blood is blue.

That's a quality story mate. Doesn't matter how you became a blue, you have and will support us through thick and thin. As city fans we are used to failure but we are great at taking it on the chin and sometimes laughing in the face of adversity. Recently a lot of our fans haven't behaved in that manner. Strange considering we are better than I have ever seen.
