A few things about the team

richards came on and gave a little bit more up the pitch seemed he was put on to do some things in the air dint see him defend so presumed he was subbed on in place of kompany in midfeild who then dropped into defense, this gave us a lot more in the air so wasnt too disapointed in him as for Ball and Dunne looked awful
hart with his passing, throwing, smashing the ball up was dreadful anyone i remember under sven we used to get hart using the defender and gettig a bit of build up play why dont we do it anymore instead of lashing it up the pitch to lose it when it comes back down.

Boijnov - constantly injured needs replacing

Vassell - Useless enough said

Ball - Not the worst but definately not what we need as a starter, to shaky, horrible passer, cant hold off defender for too long

Onouha - decent at best, easily overpowered.

Benjani - a definant workhorse with lots of speed, lacks finishing and just not a great striker

Dunne - has had a recent lack of bad form, however very strong, smart, well paced ... lacking leadership qualities need at back 4

Elano - fast, great passer but lacks aggression most games and when he lacks that and confidence he is knocked off the ball and out manuvered and his passing becomes fair at best.

We are definately needing a commanding centre back who can organise the defence. Their forwards today completely out-muscled and out-thought Dunne/Onuha/Richards. They also won nearly every header. If it wasn't for Kompany covering them we would have shipped more goals.
Priority in January must be central defenders and someone with more bite in midfield.

Our inability yesterday to consistently win arial challenges probably affected Hart's distribution. He must have felt every long kick would give possession to the opposition, which it did.
