I too was in the Bradford end. The stand to the left of the City end (from their viewpoint) - I think this was the stand which had been burnt down some four years earlier.spacecadet said:In the Bradford end thought we had fukked it.
The previous season had been there on a Tuesday night a few days after a 0-3 loss at Ipswich.
Won 4-2 at Valley Parade, Paul Lake was a sensation.
A few things stick in the memory:
John Bond getting dog's abuse from the City fans behind the goal when he was being interviewed,I think by Rob Mcaffrey.
Loads of missed chances from City.
That bloke with the long hair running on and telling the players that Palace were winning.
Morley's goal. I went fucking mental. I remember getting some funny looks from the Bradford fans around me, but nothing more.
Others like to look upon our tour of the lower leagues with disdain, but is there a club with a more interesting narrative in the English game than City?
Not even close.
