I was walking my dog's today, nothing unusual in that you might say. Anyway long story short. When the weathers bad i dont take them on the fields near me as they get caked in crap running about (whippets) so i tend to pound the streets for 45 mins or so. I cut through a local park, and saw a little lad and his dad (about 7 years old or so) having a knock about, junior was in his dark blue hooped united kit with "Vidic" on the back. Anyway i just thought i'd mention " thats the wrong shade of blue pal" before giving the first line of " Balotelli he's a striker". Anyway his old man looked like a right grumpy twat and never saw the funny side of it. So the incident passed without another thought.

Until today!!!!!!

Said child comes running upto me in the local park, unzips his coat and hey presto he is wearing a City shirt with Balo on the back the full trip. His mother who's family are blue told me he pestered like mad for a Balo shirt for his birthday, and his old man who's side of the family are red wants a word.....WITH ME!
I normally carry a number "6" on a card, just incase i see any reds passing in car's near where i live. Sadly i had a different coat on or i would have given my number 6 to the little lad to give his dad. His mother said it's caused a bit of shit in the house and her hubby said " i hope that bloke in the park knows hes caused a right load of shit in here"!

I feel great about the whole thing is i'm honest.....

Sorry, just to add i first saw them on my walk about two weeks ago, this didnt all happen today.

I work in a high school - in Salford - and I was talking with a year seven lad the other day about football and having a bit of banter with him (he being a United fan). Anyway, I asked him if he fancied changing colours and he said no, HOWEVER, and to my utter surprise, a lot of his mates already had. I thought he was fishing at first but he seemed really pissed off about it.

I suppose if your parent/s don't follow football it would be much easier to switch allegiances between clubs.

Great story and I love the 6 offenders list!

This must be happening all over, I have seen it over the past few years amongst my youngest peers. He is now 12 and mostof his mates are City fans.

We are on the up and we will attract a new breed of fan.
The City store will need to be bigger.

Manchester is Blue

so if his dad is 7 how old was the nipper

On the school walk after the Manchester mauling i spotted one of them Baby rag on board stickers in a car, so decided to right 6-1 in the condensation on the side window to my sons delight (7yo). Now every school walk since he has scribed it on nearly every car window on the road to school, im sure some rags must be getting pretty sick of it now when they take off for work each morning :)
