Do you not think that the club or whoever are not fully aware of this problem and have tried to sort it numerous times ?

I can assure you police and stewards have tried it on occassions to stop the smokers and have FAILED and they will continue to do so untill an official smoking area is designated. They have tried removing individuals and been forced out empty handed by the sheer number of fans in there.

Fan power is something i dont think you appreciate fully sir and the smokers will continue to smoke regardless of your letters etc......do you remember the first couple of seasons in the stadium ? when it was their objective to get fans in the south stand and east corner seated throughout the game (council regulations not just the club being kill joys) fan power prevailed in that case and it was accepted, just like smoking is/will be accepted in a specific area in the ground.

No one stood up in the south stand east corner until the club made it an official singing section a couple of seasons after we went there.

If smoking inthe toilets carries on long enough, andit is getting worse, a heavy handed approach will have to be taken.

You can leave the stadium and smoke at any time.

to be honest mate i couldnt care less about smokers in there,

but anyway surely couldnt they get a group of coppers in there before half time to remover anyone that sparks up? just a thought?

'good point' but these so called stewards in black have no powers they can not arrest or even man handle you out of the ground, to be honest there are about 60 lads in there at half time pissed singing and smoking and although these stewards look quite handy i think they would get a hiding

Exactly the police arn't interested and stewards will either get told to fuck off or worse...not that i think that behaviour should be tolerated, but just leave the smokers to smoke, its not like you gonna be in there all day, its about 30 seconds of your time. Some people are only happy when their moaning about something.

What about 5 year old kids and chronic middle ear infection caused by smoke?

It does kill people.

Banning taking cigs into a football ground would be a start. You can't take beer in which you are allowed to drink, so cigs should be confiscated at the gate.

Also people like me who suffer from asthma. So glad we don't have this problem in the ladies toilets.

I do agree though that people should be able to smoke on the spirals.
