A moment of reflection.

Bollocks. Fucking bunch of surrender monkeys. Real Madrid just got a bye into the final. The 1-0 score line does them a disservice.

Can be regarded as nothing but shit. Who the fuck remembers semi finals as much of an achievement in years to come? We were shite and no desire to even try and draw the match, let alone win.

What a bang average season for a club aspiring for the best.

We have just played in the Champions league semi final for the first time in our history.

Everything else is pretty irrelevant.

The season is over and we are rid of in my view our weakest manager since we hit the jackpot. I'm really looking forward to next season when I hope we will become a team again.
Yes but we didn't give it a go...out with a whimper, no shots on target, no urgency, no energy, no fight

That's down to having an administrator rather than a leader in charge. That's over now. He's history. The record books don't give a shit that we were insipid in both legs. and next time we reach this stage it won't be the first and that in itself will be motivation to go further.

I'm not overly concerned by the result tonight, I expected it. The last 25 mins were a disappointment to me but before that I thought we had a reasonable game plan. Real Madrid were better than us over the two legs and deserved to win.

The premier league performance though as been shambolic. There are no excuses for that.

Roll on August but there is a now a chance that we could miss out. The players really need to up their game Sunday. I can't see everyone being arsed to do that unfortunately and if he makes the mistake of bringing in the likes of Kolorov, we are fucked.

Yay, fucking great for us. We had an opportunity to create history tonight and only the fans seem to give a fuck.

Small time mentality. If you'd been in the ground tonight I'm sure you'd agree that most blues were very pissed off with this season

When I reflect for a moment on the last few years of being a City fan I am still very relieved that City have managed to win two league titles, the FA cup and two League cups since our big money owners took over.

After 40 years of enduring City's unpredictability and appetite for self-destruction I was a bit worried that they'd become the first big money club to win nothing or even get relegated.

Blatantly obvious that Champions League progression was the priority this season and that is what Pellegrini was brought in to do, to fill the gap in time before Pep.
He can now leave knowing his job is done, with the other trophies under his belt.

Premier League teams haven't performed in the Champions League for a few years now and it shows how lame the 'top teams' are if Leicester can win the league, with 2 games to go.

Whether the Premier League season is too tough with the amount of games, no winter break etc I don't know. I suppose we'll see when Pep arrives and he has to show what he's really capable of, with an injection of new, young, hungry players, who we hope, aren't as injury prone and can hack it.

When you get to this stage, you need to be running like a machine with a set way of playing and a system that people can slot in and out of easily. Bayern have it, Atletico have it, we just simply don't have that. We have had far too many injuries to establish a consistent way of playing over the course of the season. Couple that with our overall poor form and players coming to the end, it was always going to come back to haunt us.

That last 20 minutes tonight....never have I seen a team so utterly clueless as to how to chase a game and try to force a goal. This was the fucking Champions League semi-final where ONE goal puts us through. We should have been banging the bollocks out of the door trying to get the goal but again, our build up play was random. There's no set system, no fullbacks overlapping, no movement, just so disappointing on a night where the world was watching.

Gutted beyond belief i can accept getting beat by a better team but when your team do not show up and is so constantly piss poor demonstrating a lack of desire, passion, intensity and a will to win in a game of this magnitude i simply do not understand? Where was the work ethic without the ball the drive to win the second ball and have the bottle to try and make it happen? Leicester won the league without half the talent of our squad!

Don't delude yourself, if it wasn't for Joe over the two games they'd have had 6 or 7.
I must have nodded for some parts of both legs....We defended superbly over both legs. Mangala again tonight-lad has the ability to play at this level.

Whoopy fu*kin doo

I've been a City fan for the last 43 years so I'm more than familiar with losing. But tonight and this seasons pain isn't that we've lost, as I've said I'm more than use to that, It's the manner of the defeat. We didn't even try!

I think we did try mate, a bit at least.

The problem is that genuinely we have become toothless, predictable, boring and frankly not very good. That's why we can beat bottom half teams but rarely top half teams. We've gone from cavalier, all out attack to painful passing from side to side, fuck all movement, no runners and hoping for a cross from Navas, which when it comes, no-one is there to get on the end of.

Last night wasn't a lack of effort particularly, it was just the way we are.

Despite his dwindling band of supporters going on about being in 4 competitions, some time ago, it was obvious that the LC was going to be the only piece of silverware and so it has come to pass.

It's difficult to know which players will survive and who will be brought in. A lot of those currently under performing will improve for the simple fact that Guardiola will not accept the lack of effort on show last night. Pellegrini is a bang average manager who is now on the slide. The team resembles him now. Half asleep, lacking in enthusiasm and sadly lacking in intelligence. Can't wait for him to leave.
