A Munich song for everyone

I dont mind refering to united as the munichs or a united fan as a munich, what i dont like is singing about the actule crash, so i dont mind the ryan gigs one because it just calls him a munich but i dont like the lying on the run way one because its taking the piss out of the crash.
Does that makes sence?

No, it makes no sense whatsoever (except perhaps in your strange little world). If you think there's no problem with it, start doing it on here.

these chants will always be sung. and its not just a small minority, in the pubs n that it's non stop, people need to accept that munich songs are weather rightly or wrongly going to be sung. united fans continue to sing about hillsborough and leeds fans so fuck em.

Yeah, they do this sort of thing, so we should too. FFS, how old are you, fcuking 10???

Spot on, don't follow the crowd.
United fans hate liverpool and some I know sing Hillsboro songs. However much I hate liverpool I wouldn't sing about hillsborough, that could have been any fan from any club that day.
Same goes for the players lost in 1958, could have happened to any team, they are tragedies that were unavoidable.
Something like Heysel is a different matter all together!

Im glad i didnt start this thread or use that word.....

I'd have been banned for it!

Hope that there isnt double standards being used here?

How many times are we going to beat ourselves up over this?We have people within our support who shouldn't even be allowed out to the corner shop let alone to a football match.

But so do they...so do every club in the league.
They're never going to stop because they don't give a fuck what you,I or any one else thinks. They want a ruck-they know it gets under the rags' skin and that's it.
To these people Frank Swift was simply "collateral damage."
End of.
However-the flip-side to this debate is that you could argue that united leave themselves open to accusations of if not "milking" the disaster, then tediously playing the "sympathy" card every ten years...culminating in the 50th anniversary AIG-sponsored poster of the babes, the self-righteous slaughtering of us in the rag press weeks before we'd even set foot in the swamp-down to the sickening sale of "memorial" scarves on e-bay.

If the boot was on the other foot-does anyone not honestly believe that the more moronic section of their support wouldn't sing these songs to us?

Now can we move on?

It's a bit sad that we can't come up with better insults about them than Munich.

Its hardly a "sympathy" card every 10 years is it? It was a major disaster for the football club and should be remembered, every disaster usually has a special remembrance service every 10 years, its not a "united" thing.

I've always thought the anniversary has been very low key until last year and tbf it was 50 years on so should have been remembered the way it was (without the fucking logo though!).
City did get a lo of grief leading up to the game but as most have openly admitted on here the singing of certain songs happens so I expected the worst! However, the fans were impeccible and I for one made sure the city fans were applauded.
