A new fan..

Seems quite a few Rovers fans are switching now. A friend of mine's boyfriend is a Rovers fan and considered switching to either Us or United. Asked me if he should support City and I told him no he should support Rovers. On the other hand there's a Rovers fan at work who is sticking by his club and wouldn't ever dream of switching. Bet they'd all come flooding back if they won the league again. We've had it worse FFS.

i was a rovers fan but hadn't been to game for a good 5-6 years and really lost interest in football, the only time i watched it was if i had a bet on. then my step dad got me tickets this year for everton game and that was it been to every home game since bar 1 due to work. its not glory supporting its just appreciation of the game why pay £30-£40 to watch long ball rubbish, when you can watch some of the best players in the world for the same price? was not a hard decision for me.

People switch all the time.

I know an ex-Arsenal fan who became a City season ticket holder in the 98/99 season.
Div 3 and he became an ST for the first time, he was at York, Gillingham and Wembley.

Some people arn't so hardcore as posters on here, they do skip from club to club for all kinds of reasons.

Not worth getting upset about and just except that not all football fans are tribal.
Good post . I know loads of blues who 'supported' other clubs from their armchairs as kiddies but switched to
City when they started attending games. It's no big deal.

But who did he support before Jack Walker ploughed his millions into Rovers? About 15-20 years ago, you saw loads of people in Blackburn shirts, now you rarely see them outside East Lancs. It's time for them to stand up and be counted , like we did against Swales and Lee. It would have been so easy to switch then, but nobody did.

All are welcome if we want to make this the largest supported club in the world in ten years time. Just think of another tier around the stadium. It will not happen unless we get more fans who attend games. i would like to see a huge waiting list for season tickets pending a massive stadium extension. Turn blue, see the light.

you can't change your team, its your team, being a football supporter isn't about winning trophies or even winning games its about your loyalty to the club you either chose or was chosen for you otherwise we'd all be rags, Liverpoool, Chelsea or Arsenal fans. Owners, Managers and players come and go but the club is always the same to the fans, the fans are the clubs soul, why else does someone from Yoevil get up at 5 in the morning to go to Hartlepool away to watch a load of average/poor players play in front of a crowd of 6000, there is no sense to it but we all do it nonetheless.
