A new low on Twitter - Billy Sharp

Utter twat.
I said this on the thread about Micah cancelling his twitter account - I just fail to understand why anyone has the need for this twitter thing.
If I was famous would I want to have thousands / millions people having direct access to contact me? Would I give them my mobile number so they could call / text me? So why give them the twitter address?

Maybe it's me at the almost grand age of 49 just not ''getting'' this modern technology stuff....
 
There are some very vile people around who get their rocks off doing these sickening things, his account has been cancelled by Twitter, hope they can get this scum bag, and hope he'll be facing some kind of a jail sentence...........
 
I understand banter on twitter for example I wind Micky Owen up about getting splinters in his arse but why the need for abuse? morons
 
There are some great people on Twitter; unfortunately it also has its fair share of pondlife. It's a great way to interact with footballers etc, although I prefer to discuss things with other fans. Sadly a small minority seem to ruin it by driving people off twitter with horrific abuse. Some people on there even seem to make it their sole aim to abuse famous people, which is incredibly sad.
 
My four week old nephew passed away last week, and if anyone made even the slightest comment I don't think I could stop myself from going beserk and smashing the fuckers face to pulp.

I really feel for Billy Sharp here, not just for his tragic loss but for the vile abuse that he has had to put up with.

Its a disgrace, and I hope that this scumbag is found and dealt with as firmly as the law allows.
