A plea to our fans ... please don`t go onto the pitch.

The pitch invasion was quite understandable two years ago given the way things turned out and actually added to the joy and emotion of the day in many ways. Who could forget the guy on his knees sobbing or the video of the guy with the smile on his face being led back to the East Stand by a steward?

But it would be nice if the players had their moment this time without the idiots shouting into the camera.

On the pitch all day, the players can come back out and enjoy lifting the trophy once we leave it. Same miserable bastards as usual asking not to stand, swear, drink, smoke, run on pitch. If we win it - everyone on the pitch.

I completely agree I understand why it happened last time, but it makes us look "small time". I'm in CB level 3 and stand no chance of getting down there .

Why does it make us look 'small time'? Because United and Chelsea don't do it? Its only stopped since football has become sanitised and the middle class and corporates have taken over.

Could I plead to all City fans,if we win the League, could you please refrain from going onto the fucking pitch after the final whistle and let the players enjoy that special moment. You only had to look at those scenes last time,as the players looked dumbfounded and shocked at the time as they clearly could not enjoy a few minutes by themselves as a group.
You know it makes sense.Let them have the glory and not you.
Kill joy ?? Maybe, but I know what I`d prefer to see.
Cant remember it happening at Ragsville,Chelsea etc.

You've got no chance Oakie

The usual retards, knob heads, piss heads and I wanna be on TV muppets have every intention of spoiling it again

How the fuck does it spoil anything?

Nail on the head.

We did it last time and, as you say, you haven't seen Chelsea/Rags/Arsenal haven't do it before because nobody had ever beaten their arch rivals to the title, who'd dominated the game for two decades and rammed it down our throats, in the 94th minute after not winning it for 44 years. All the songs, the banner, the taunting. Especially for lads my age who went to school in the 1990s. I couldn't contain myself, i needed to run around and the pitch was the only place with enough room to do it!

It was a one-off, it was one of the greatest moments in sporting history. It was something that merited a mass pitch invasion. It's something that will never ever be replicated.

Even if we won it in the last minute again there wouldn't be a mass pitch invasion, there'd just be the odd few who run on in the excitement which is great. But there situations are very different to then.

THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Well said brother of the 90's.

Maybe because the players want to take a few minutes and enjoy the moment and not get dragged off down the tunnel by security.

The players were celebrating with the fans, then went in and came back out and had their presentation.

Are the people saying 'it makes us look small time' the same people that get upset when the rags say we can't fill our stadium

I couldn't give a fuck what a fan of any other club thinks of us. Since when did we become arrogant twats that look down our noses at 'small time'

I think it's a disgrace that the club don't provide zip wires to allow those of us in Level 3 to join in the fun so if I can't join in the rest of you can stay off the pitch.

LOL

I supported the team to the bitter end last season. I was rewarded by having to wait ages for the players to return to do the lap of honour just so their WAGs and children could walk slowly round the pitch holding a pathetic white banner.

I aint one for running on the pitch, but fuck me, it aint all about the players. I fucking waited years to see success. Let people enjoy it how they want.

EDIT: Quote feature broken after yesterday's upgrade and far too difficult to fix post on my mobile.

I'll be half way home by the final whistle anyway :)
So will oakie.

Absolutely no way Col.Me and the boy are coming via the train from Crewe and will be enjoying a few pints in The Waldorf and then onto Wetherspoons.Fuck the early doors win, lose or draw mate.Full day either wallowing in self pity or hopefully necking a fair few pints of Guinness in a celebratory fashion.

Hahah I agree

It looked epic last time and was an expression of the emotion. Like with the win at Blackburn. The emotion of the day led to that celebration. I'm sure we will all stand and politely doth our hats towards the players and make sure we remain civilised.

Bunch of bollocks, let's go mental if we win it and see what happens. The players come back out and hold the trophy aloft with their medals. They get their own time to celebrate anyway!
