A point gained?

We have lost the ability to open up teams with clinical , quick movement in passing.

Defensively we are not as assured as we were earlier in the season.

The mindset and confidence is not as it was and we are easy to predict.

Today we had no shape in the back half for a fair portion of the game and that will kill us against Arsenal if we don't get the basics right.

It was two points lost today and the title is gone but its been a good season in the premier league but clearly we need a couple of players that can add different dimensions to our set up next season if we are to go one better.

I feel as bad about today as anybody, but could it be the massive kick up the arse we need and when the rags drop points(or should i say if) maybe that 1 point will make the difference? I live in hope!

Crikey bobs surely the kick up the arse came when we were played off the park by Swansea.

-- Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:39 am --

I think I might have over-reacted. Rags still have to win their game if they are to take advantage of the Sunderland result. It is by no means inevitable that they will do so. As for a point gained, they would have to lose on Monday before we could say that.

Monday, or any other game they're expected to win, but Monday would be a great time to drop points!

The rags will win.

mmmm could this be a title win of gillingham proportions.coming back from the dead when even god has given up on us. heres hoping im off to find my half full glass.

i was well pleased at the way we came back, it is a point gained. quite why we didn't go at them like that for the previous 82 mins though still astounds me.

Under the circumstance - yes. A point gained.
However we've proved in the last 5 games that a good number of our players have ZERO bottle for the fight. A professional footballer playing the best they can for 20 minutes every game simply isn't good enough

Can´t see why anyone would look at that other than 2 points dropped. People say look at the bigger picture well if you apply that rule to yesterday it was nothing short of shocking
I was happy to get the point last week and thought it was a decent result under the circumstances
Yesterday - no fookin way

Once again Bob gambled and underestimated the oppo - same result (points dropped)

well it was a point gained cos from where we were we were dead and buried.

your point about bob gambling is bang on the money though. he has done it far too often for my liking.

My worry is, if Rags do drop points, will we be able to take advantage of it?

Judging by yesterday & last week - I very much doubt it.

Players were missing because they weren't fit.

Nobody underestimated anyone. We just played a poor game
