a popular misconception about tickets and loyalty points

The following at that millwall game will soon surpass those at the Swindon in game in the 60's or even York away

Not doubting you lads but you know what I mean

wrong actually, leeds played the first season at the etihad, and millwall away was the year away fans were banned and they awarded loyalty points for the screening at maine road, i never got any, i went to the new den.

I bought the screening ticket (a fiver i think?) and gave it to a fellow Blue as I went to the game at the New Den, just wanted to keep my points total intact at the time (10 points?). Originally bought those Millwall tickets through Ticketmaster, but they cancelled my order, along with others, who had Manchester area postal addresses. Contacted a Blue who was working in Kent, and he went to their ticket office and bought four seats over the counter. Still not worked out how many of us got in that night (ticket availability down there wasnt a problem), suspect somewhere between 50 -100 Blues dotted about the three sides of the stadium being used. Memories.........:-)

thats how i remember it, 10 loyalty points for the screening, we sat in their main stand, welcome to the place that time forgot.

It might have counted towards "tracked away games" but they would not has indicated how many points if any at the time.

How much money do you think you spent in those 30 months including travel? I suspect it was a sum that would be out of the reach of many fans.

But that is not his problem is it - the financial constraints of other fans - What he is saying is bang on. With a little bit of dedication you can build your points quickly.

Of course, fair play to him and all that. And I want to underline what I said before that loyalty points are the best of the options that I can see. All I'm saying is that points don't prove that one guy is more dedicated than another.
