There has been many failings in recruitment, a lack of balance in key positions but first half today, Chelsea and United. Full game against Barca and the second half against Arsenal the team and football has been nothing short of spectacular. Its as good as I have ever seen.

Its a renewal of my faith in what we are attempting to achieve and another example of what a wonderfully innovative manager we have.

There's promise but we are still very average at fullback, central defense and in goal.

That's a lot to fix and it'll hold all the promise back until resolved (which takes time, money and a loss of pride).

We need to be so good that shit decisions and blind/corrupt officials are unable to influence the results. WE WILL BE.

I agree ;-)

Average in goal? That's being very kind.

Cosmic.

That's the best football we've played in a while! Can't fault the lads. Against an inform strong Spurs side we dominated for most of the match

Sane class. Jesus looks quality. Get two good fullbacks in summer and we have a class side.

Feel sorry for pep and the boys today but exciting times ahead

I think the main issue is that the majority of our players are either past their peak or not there yet. But we do seem to have a team that will be able to grow together. Really need to address the full back positions though.

Redknapp just described the movement and passing like Barcelona and that is a fair analogy.

You cannot guarantee results but you can guarantee the desire to play a certain type of football. Its mouthwatering to think of the football and matches we may view over the next three years. Adding Jesus to the mix and the performance of Sane (after promising performances against Chelsea, Arsenal) bodes well for the future.

Excellent post. When the defensive reinforcements arrive (most probably next season) we will have one hell of a team.

Exactly. Look we are out of the title this season so getting these unlucky results and ref decisions is by the by. We have a very promising future with the players we have.
