Please mate do not be put off by the all inclusives in the Paphos area, there are many great self catering places to stay, they need our trade desperately and its a great place to holidayBWTAC said:paphos-mcfc said:BWTAC said:Good luck Paphos, how's trade doing in general over there, seeing as most hotels seem to have gone all inclusive these days?
Pretty bad mate, local small businesses are suffering. My supplier rang me today for a weekly order only to tell me that 2 of his customers (biggish) have closed down. Strange though that more hotels are in the process of being built.
Restaurant are just as worse off in season as the all inclusive hotels kill what chance they have of getting any business.
Got a kid to support so need this to flourish. The daughter of the owner (my partner) quit her job to make a go of it, so I feel a bit more of the responsibility. I can go back to the hotels in May at the latest if things aren't looking good, but that's the last resort.

Good luck Paphos mate.
Please pm me a king prawn phal when you get a minute.
Not a problem Sir Fetters. Cheers
Well I hope it works out for you and yours mate, it actually put me off going there, if you remember, you gave me some advice at a hotel I was looking at booking, but they changed to all inclusive and we prefer to do our own thing, trying different restaurants and bars. Too many holiday places are turning in to all inclusive resorts, killing any semblance of what a holiday should be, but I suppose that's what people want these days.
Kefalos Beach Village is one such place, right on the beach off TOKRoad right in the middle of everything and is brilliant, i would urge people not to give up on Cyprus, hoping to be back there on hols soon myself
