A s**t away end full of tourists

I know a lad,a hard core actually to be fare to him,who gets 3 tickets for any away, cos of his daddy's box.

socialism for the rich.
No problem with that at all, I know a few blues who have done well in life and now have the opportunity to watch the game from a box or corporate.
It's the one match wonders that piss me off who haven't been to a game before in their life.

You have to accept it's OK if that's the case. It's not OK to behave like a dickhead in the away end and draw attention to yourself like those people did. People need to accept that, currently, supply for a game like today's will never meet demand. We could easily sell 10,000 tickets for this game but we only get 3,000.

I'm somewhat amused at the relatively recent sense of entitlement among some fans, demanding that season card holders should get all the away tickets. It's less than 20 years ago that we often only took half the away allocation because the club had to pay for them and didn't think they'd sell.

Hospitality customers are also season ticket holders, and sponsors will always get tickets. If the club is taking tickets away from the 60% they say get allocated to general admission season card holders, then that's something to get angry about, I've also said before that hospitality ticket holders get far more tickets pro rata than the likes of us. I'd like to see a level playing field in that respect.
I have never known a time in my 50 years supporting city that we consistently only took 50% of an away allocation that's pure bollocks.

6 years later, and 10 years of continual success on the pitch, have changed those percentages. What are those percentages now? We don’t know because City won’t say, for obvious reasons.
I have no idea what has changed, if anything. But while I do understand some of the anger, it seems that 10 years of continual success has made some fans quite entitled. As I said, we sometimes only took half the allocation 15-20 years ago.

gives them.the right for 2 or 3 tickets aways for any game ?

True.

But at the moment we’re all replaceable. City know that.

If yo don’t go, somebody else will buy your ticket.

And we’re not going to get 5000-10,000 fans boycotting a home game because of what’s going on with away tickets.
We're not going to sell out a 60,000 seater stadium when we stop winning trophies and all of the legacy fans have fucked off.

Everyone has their moment when they got hooked on City, now we're all getting our moments when that love got broken, we still go, still watch, but we don't care in the same way, because of how we've been treated.

For me, home UCL semi v Real Madrid, 2023. No matter how many points you had, years of loyalty, meaningless games attended, if not a season ticket holder, to get a ticket for the home game, you ranked the same in the pecking order as every JCL Haaland fanboy and YouTuber in the world. Pay £35 and they buy a ticket for the lottery, doesn't matter if you've never been before, or if you're even a City fan, you had the chance to get a ticket. No organisation that actually cared would treat it's loyal patrons like that, unless they viewed them as replaceable, an inconvenience even. That's what we are to the hierarchy. Do not doubt that.

You see it now with tickets for all the big home games, no more points selling windows, there's some level of minimum attendance requirements, but there are actually no matchday tickets left when you queue for hours with multiple devices. Sold out. Really? You can still get any number with a buffet for £500, or from a tout site for about £250, no minimum attendance required, no membership needed.

The ground at big games is filling with passionless observers who've no real genuine feeling, or loud support for every tackle and clearance. Silence, often just filming the away fans.

Today, 8 Barca clad supporters in a row, at our biggest away game, when more than ever we needed our vocal backing, is just the latest slap in the face. It'll feel like a tipping point for some. Real blues needed 25,000 points to be in with a chance, but these guys can get tickets.

We are not becoming like the cartel clubs, we're actually becoming worse. They often seem to have fairer allocation systems, home and away, than we do.

Why is that? Who's responsible? Do they have any idea of the damage they're doing?

I'm still a huge fan, but I care a good bit less, not because of results, but due to obnoxious ticketing behaviour by the club.

It isn't bollocks. I never said it was consistent but I used to keep my fingers crossed I'd get an away ticket and I would sometimes lose out because we didn't take the extra 1,500. Happened for a game at Chelsea back in 2007, when I was living down in West London and I missed out. And that was a 3pm kickoff.

And even without having the top points, I could get tickets for the game at Anfield back then.
