A s**t away end full of tourists

It’s these ticket sites, you can chose home or away end at literally any game. Friends of mine from the states went to United v Spurs last season and it was slightly cheaper in the away end to get 4 together so they did. Didn’t support either club just wanted a premier league weekend experience.

It’s actually unbelievably disrespectful turning up dressed like that. I’d never go to an El Classico dressed full Bert.

Disrespectful motherfuckers.

I’d say if one or two of them had turned up dressed like that, it would be disrespectful. For all of them to come wearing identical shirts is full on taking the piss.

It’s not a coincidence that they’ve all come like that. They’ve had a chat and all agreed what a great laugh it would be to turn up taking the piss in the City end all dressed like cùnts.

They do care. But not in public. They will have spoken to UEFA in private and left it st that. But as you say, that comes across as the club not caring. Their public PR with the fans is totally fucked up and misguided. An own goal!
Sorry but never seen any comment from the club that shows any concern for fans, first response should be to
the fans, I am 69 years old and should have enjoyed a great night but ended up scrambling across a car park and then pay for 2 Taxis to airport because there were no buses at all. Clubs comment …………………….

This is probably true but the osc is a paid for membership, members do have a right to call on him to supply answers and likewise the club which by definition is linked directly to the Osc has a duty to respond to him. So at the very least, and no ones expecting complete honesty, there should be some sort of statement returned to any question that is then the right of members to see.

I’ve said it before on these threads - if the club came out and said we decide to start increasing our allocations to those who contribute the most financially to the club, ie corporate members and sponsors, that would at least give some clarity. I think what is frustrating is that the allocations for particular games seem so arbitrary in recent seasons. Obviously it’s easier to get a ticket for wolves away than the rags, or Liverpool etc, and that’s always been the case. But there seems to be no consistent system anymore in terms of what points games sell out at given the ticket numbers. Clarity, even if it was initially unpopular, would at least give an explanation.

As it stands, essentially the biggest away games are creating a similar away end as a ballot system would, beyond the truly high points- in that those a little further down the chain have a much chance a someone with zero points, or that doesnt even support the club as their main team.

The OSC are a paid for membership. You are right. Do I feel Kevin Parker as General Secretary of the OSC represents me, no I don’t. I don’t know what he does to justify his position as General Secretary of the OSC. I would honestly like to know. He doesn’t tell me anything. As long as I can remember, I have never seen him or heard him speak at a branch meeting. For all I know he might be doing a lot of good behind the scenes with City, but he doesn’t update me via my OSC branch or via his social media account/s. All I know is that he is very close to the club. Make of that what you will.

You’re right, the club didn’t comment. I was in Istanbul like you. While we were all stuck in the coach park for hours the City directors celebrated and were driven back to their hotels via another exit. And after that, silence from the club.

Sorry to say it but I cannot imagine this happening at many other clubs at what was potentially the biggest away game of the season, an hour down the road. Obviously success has attracted new fans and tourists, but I don’t believe that six young lads filming the other teams penalty would last long say at a Chelsea away, or even in the rags end at anfield. Maybe we are too old and soft to take a proper stand but the reps at least should be calling this out every week - peps often said about poor vocal support being a hindrance to a performance, and the more this goes on the worse it gets. That was the quietest, tamest away end I’ve ever seen at Liverpool - historically that’s been one game where there’s been a majority of regular diehards. You can maybe understand some London games where it’s a late ko or evening game when it’s put some off for travel or expense reasons but there is no excuse today.

There’s two questions for me, one is how they get tickets ie are the club creaming off a little premium selling via touts or selling on which seems unlikely and wouldn’t be that difficult to expose (rows of adjacent seats available on tout sites etc)

And if not, then what’s in it for them to allocate so many to non regulars at £30? Oscs distribute as they choose, not much you can do about that, but Barca fans aren’t going to suddenly switch club and be the future of ours.

We all want City to be the biggest club of all, but those at the helm must surely see that we are also in danger of losing a follow on fanbase that will remain loyal at the inevitable point when this cycle of success comes to an end. Which it will, as sustained success has never lasted forever. The fly by night penalty filming cunts will be gone as soon as the day out involves losing on a regular basis. It seems to me that the OSC is petrified of losing what ticket priority it has if it kicks up more than a token fuss. These pictures should be supplied to the club every single week with the same question: how do they think this situation will end?
What about the people just moaning about the tourists filming the pen and not doing anything to put the penalty taker off. We weren’t just let down by the tourists today. A load of Blues who would sell their Grannies for an Anfield ticket ticket seemed to take part in a sponsored silence. Yes there would have been some Blues trying to get the singing going but far too few of them.

City fans with bollocks need to form some kind of union that makes the club listen to stuff like ticket sales and costs, and stewarding, not the soft fucking take it up the arse mentality that seems to be our relationship with the club now.
Have you ever put your name up for City Matters or tried to form any kind of fans union? Where are your bollocks?
