Spot on mate. I know you are always good for getting the songs going. I also remember Anfield in silence when Mahrez should have won the game for us:There were pockets of blues trying to get it going. I tried to spark a few chants off myself but it was a fruitless exercise, yet when I go to Leicester in a few weeks it’ll be piss easy to get chants going and they’ll spread across the whole away end. Yesterday was a combination of various factors - the tourists, not enough blues getting songs going or when they did kind of get going not enough joined in to keep them going, too many City fans who are happy to sing on the concourse but then shit the bed when it comes to singing in the stands (not confined to Liverpool away - this has been going on for years all over) and, dare I say it, the Liverpool fans were pretty loud throughout just as they were last season and this drowned out any chants from our end that did get going. They’ve not always been like that though. We bossed the atmosphere at the Mahrez penalty miss game in 2018 but these days their fans turn up at home games against us, just as we tend to do in home games against them.
Apart from the piss taking tourists in our end, it’s a shame more Blues don’t sing up loud and proud for the lads. I’ve still not got my voice back yet from getting behind the lads vs Feyenord lol
