A s**t away end full of tourists

We all know it’s been going on for years, I recall having 4 x Chinese lads sad next to me at Old Trafford for the 6-1 game. None of them moved a muscle or showed any emotion when any of the goals went in.

But yesterday the Barca crew with their replica shirts was the straw that broke the camels back. They are making us the laughing stock of football.

Maybe when somebody counts the empty seats on Wednesday night the penny might drop.

When the 115 charges were announced those running the club should have done everything possible to engage with supporters that go to home an away games.

They’ve done nothing.

They don’t even engage with toothless City Matters committee they were forced to set up.

They have killed the atmosphere at home games and are now on their way to doing at away games too.

This north stand expansion is gonna be a difficult sell especially for cup matches. We struggle to fill 50k in champions league matches never mind an added 6k+.

The away end at Liverpool wasn't as bad as last season even if the picture of Barca fans makes it seem that way.
I've emailed Danny Wilson but I guess I won't get a response or it'll be tepid on at best.

Your man on the next row back is having a sneaky look at the Barcelona fans mobile phone.

I wish somebody would have had a chat with them and asked them how they got their tickets, in a nice and pleasant manner, just to find out. I would have done that.

The 8 Barcelona fans in the City away end.

For the home games, I don't understand why it's so difficult to get a ticket especially with seats togther, but almost every game is available on likes of Viagogo and stub hub for inflated prices, and easy to get seats together?

We are banning more local fans than we are bringing in, I fear for the future as some games will see more and more home fans in City sections as we will not sell out.

Not long ago any of us complaining about the club on this thread would have got a barrage of abuse and ridicule from other BM forum members for doing so, but not anymore. I know it’s only a small sign, but that should worry the club. Legacy City fans are getting more and more fucked off about how we are being treated by the club.

Not long ago, this thread did not exist.

But, you do have a point. Wouldn't say I gave anyone a barrage of abuse as such, but the last couple of threads have given me a whole other context to similar discussions elsewhere and some of the concerns for the north stand etc. I openly acknowledge it.

Fans could start boycotting Platinum and the cup schemes. Everyone can do it. It's easy to do. I'm dropping the lot next season.

Welcome on board mate. (thumbs up)

Now if we can get @Centurions on board, we will be unstoppable

I suppose it is possible that they got their tickets from the allocation given to the players rather than the club top slicing them from the allocation that went to points holders. Even so, all of them turning up wearing Barca shirts isn't helping matters and will only lead to suspicion and anger.

As someone else said, many of us have been football tourists at some point but we wouldn't go wearing City shirts at a Barca game. I'd also say that if you're going to a game as a tourist, at least try and support the team whose fans you're with. On my mate's stag do in Prague in 2006 we went to see Slavia Prague play while we were there. We supported Slavia and joined in with some of the chants as well. 2 years later 4 of us did a few days in Munich for the Oktoberfest. On the Sunday we went to watch 1860 Munich play Ingolstadt. 3 blues and 1 red in the home end and all of us supporting 1860, not turning up in another club's shirt and showing no interest in what was going on.

I am guessing the Barca tickets are a player or more likely a senior exec allocation. first team staffers can get two tickets for an away match and are given two comps per home match. I would guess this would be the same for middle management also.

let's say hypothetically city don't get top 4 this season (which is unlikely) and have to play in the Europa League next season. We will have 10k empty seats or more because the tourist types won't fancy it especially on a cold Thursday night against a team from Kazakhstan and legacy fans will be pissed at how the they have been treated by the club over the years so they will not bother. makes me wonder what city long term plan is because it seems they don't have one.

We need to get the 'Black Flags' out at all PL clubs.....or paper balls /paper planes and disrupt games at every ground.

We are all being screwed and ignored.

An organised campaign of synchronized, disruptive militancy will resonate globaly and hopefully bring embarassment to the clubs and PL.

Fight the fire with water and extinguish it for good.

Okay, she maybe very, very, very, very passionate about her Liverpool Football Club (so she should be) n harp on about the iiiiiiiistreeee n all that, buh' ...rivalries aside, she is totally on point in regards the whole #stopexploitingloyalty
And well said Nick Clarke from Manchester City Fans Supporting Foodbanks

For the 1-0 v Mu home in April 2012 the bus was full of fans from Genova, who said they got them from Mancini. They had no colours and it was a home game.
