A Shiny New Centre Forward

Rashford? Unhappy at the Rags, proven goal scorer, World Cup semi finalist, used to winning trophies. We'd pay his wage demands as we pay well over the odds for our own English players. He'd also replace Aguero without missing a step, I'd actually say he could replace him now, he's at that level already and still young.

Not sure if serious...

Hehehe. Nice try. Put that rod away.

I was actually going to start a similar thread, albeit with a different tone.

We put so many high crosses into the box last season that none of our midgets couldn't get on the end of. We've got fantastic attacking threats with the ability to ping the ball in including KDB, Sane, Sterling, Mendy, Mahrez. Yet when they whip in super balls, it's to no one. Now we have Cancelo and Angelino likely to be added as well.

I imagined Jesus to be the player used for this, but his development isn't coming on as quickly as we liked. Patience will be shown here.

I know, we all know that we're great but just imagine us having a 2013/14 Negredo (first half of the season) available to us. Great leap and movement, good finishing (not top tier) but also works hard, has good touch, and can play Guardiola's game.

It would give us a whole new dimension and shift us up yet another gear, even though many don't think that's possible.

Anyone out there that would fit the bill? Hypothetically. Loads of players obviously wouldn't, but off the top of my head old Negredo had all the right qualities.

0/10, far too obvious.

Falcao

We have a top drawer but injury prone pair, in Aguero and Jesus.
Outside these, he has a go with Raheem up top, but he's no centre forward.
I believe we need a back up.
There doesn't appear to be anyone in the reserves looking like making the shift up to a truly specialist position, so Who's available?
He would have to accept playing second fiddle to the above pair, so probably somebody very young, like Felix at Benfica, although rumours that Atletico have him, or perhaps a Cavani?

Who leaves to make room in the squad for this unnecessary 3rd choice striker?

Gabriel only missed four games last year from a hamstring pull.
the previous old ones were unlucky mostly from knocks, so I'm not bothered.
I'm predicting a big year for him.
