It might be early days but I have to say that Manuel Pellegrini has completely won me over.
I would like to apologise to all the BM members who I've attacked on here for having the belief that Mancini wasn't the right man.

I feel you were right and Pellegrini will be a massive step up and we are on the cusp of something great.

Any views fellow blues?

The only people who should apologise are those who got abusive. Apart from that, it's just a Forum for fellow blues to share their opinions.

Take your apologies and put them where the sun doesn't shine you glory hunting jonny come lately plastic ;)

Not nice but that's what we were subjected to, us cabalists.

I never thought of Pellegrini as our ideal man, I wanted a Klopp, Pep, Jose or Ancelotti. Pellegrini, De Boer and Simeone were on a three man list after them I had in my head. We got imo one of the best 7 coaches possible for the job.

Many of the inners said Manuel's c.v lacked, that was a fair comment but what Pellegrini has in abundance is a calming-know-all-presence. Mancini guided us to FA Cup and League honours and should be credited and remembered for those achievements but lets have it right he was our main weakness last season. The team struggled from the top down, from tactics to lack of squad balance and the bullshit 3-5-2.

Anyway we move on and you apology from an outer is the first so kudos. Just remember that a change of opinion is merely that, we are all blues and all wants what is best for our club. Mancini being handed his p45 was the case for me purely on the basis he is woeful in Europe and not able to maximise the best form out of out squad. I sense good times under Manuel so lets strap in for a bumpy ride but will still see us arriving at destination silverware.

Good post, you shandy drinking Juan Campar trophy t-shirt wearing sod.

You shouldn't have to apologise for standing by the clubs manager, especially one who has been very successful. You can understand why a lot of people were fully behind Mancini after all during his tenure we qualified for the CL, won the FA cup and the PL and finished 2nd and runners up in the FA cup.

Based on results he did not deserve to be sacked. However he wasn't sacked for our results (apart from CL). The main problem was he managerial approach and when you have major disagreements with the board there is only ever going to be one winner.

Most of us fans mainly judged RM for his on the pitch achievements hence why his sacking divided so much opinion. The main arguments from the outers was about his personality and the squad morale where as the inners tended to focus on results.

I trust the board to have made the right decision to take the club forward and everything about Pellegrini looks exciting. He comes across very classy in interviews, knows how to talk to the press, seems to have a lot of time for his players and his achievements are seriously underrated by people in England.
