A sincere apology to the Mancini outers.

Must admit can't believe folk slagging the Spanish boys off
SOMEONE even called them a pair of idiots if they didn't get Mourinho :)

At the risk of sounding like a cock, I don't recall Pellegrini being first on anyone's list. I was a vociferous Mancini inner, still love the guy, think he was brilliant for us in terms of getting us the FA Cup and the League.

However, based on information from non-cabalists, it seemed that Mancini didn't just take enough rope to hang himself, but also drew and quartered himself in the process. we've done the "way he was sacked" bit to death and I don't particularly want to revisit it as such other than to say I would have done it differently, but then again I'm just a no mark shit kicker and not paid to run the club (thankfully cos no doubt we'd be in the Conference if I was :))

Anyway the King is dead, long live the king. As Billy rightly says, onwards and upwards. Can't wait for the new season to get underway and am 100% supportive of the Club, Los Dos, Pellegrini and the team - as you any right thinking individual ought to be.

get real, we havent even played a premier league game yet. Mancini was and will always be a great manager and the best thing to happen to this team in a long long time.

Pellegrini seems good, but he is just a manager. I believe that the players are the most important and then how they interact with the fans. Team spirit must be created

Team spirit is lifted the day he got the sack.

Look at Dzeko. He now looks like being a player again. Mancini ruined him for his 2 and half years here.

We would have no Kompany this season if Mancini stayed, he would have been sold to Barca due to his fall out. Think of the consequences of keeping Gestapo Bob

It might be early days but I have to say that Manuel Pellegrini has completely won me over.
I would like to apologise to all the BM members who I've attacked on here for having the belief that Mancini wasn't the right man.

I feel you were right and Pellegrini will be a massive step up and we are on the cusp of something great.

Any views fellow blues?

Pellegrini wasn't their 'right man' either, and yep Mancini was clearly finished by Christmas but the Cabal wails have been pulling the plaster off the walls for three years before that.

I never expected you to have the guts to hold your hands up. Nor do i expect ackowledgement of your removed posts slagging off our Spanish duo for making poor signings.

Stick to the sky/motd/muen/uefa/referees agenda stuff mate. Very much your level.
My Spanish Malpractices post did not criticize the Barca boys' signings or Pellegrini, just the way Mancini's exit was handled and the circus that followed. In fact, just for the record, I have lost no opportunity to applaud both the new manager and all his recruits. We all need to adapt to changing circumstances Dave, with as much good grace as we can muster. I'm pleased you're excited about the new season and so am I.

There is absolutely no need to apologise to anyone or to don the sackcloth and ashes. Roberto Mancini brought the FA cup and PL title to this club. There is now only Arsene Wenger left in the PL who has actually done this at their club. Most of the "outers" wanted simply that - Mancini out. Those who had the vaguest idea of a replacement went in the large part for Mourinho in the belief that eye gouging was the kind of motivational skills our manager needed. Klop, who refuses to leave Dortmund for anyone, was the second favourite. There was simply no "Pellegrini in" group until he emerged as the clear choice of the board. Now, the "in" and "out" question is no longer an issue since Pellegrini is "in", and I've been impressed with his work and pronouncements so far. I stress that my loyalty is to City and no particular individual, but it is very, far too, early to judge. And in the euphoria at the quality of our play at times in some of our pre season matches we have to remember just how superb we were for by far the greater part of the '11-'12 season. I add also that we have had a good transfer window - and it may get even better - but that 3 of the players bought were targets before the managerial change. This window is, of course, very different from last summer, and that was not Mancini's "fault". Let us see how the season goes, when the real games begin.

This transfer window has been different to any other since the takeover IMO.

You can tell this transfer window has been carried out quickly and effectively. More importantly we have signed players who have been hand-picked to suit our system and complement Pellegrini's and Txiki's ideology.

I honestly believe that if Mancini was still here he would have been demanding the likes of Cavani and Bale rather than Negrado and Navas.

IMO the direction we were taking in the transfer market under Txiki did not appeal to RM and when the manager and DoF clash over ideas it makes one of their position untenable. Unfortunately for Mancini our DoF had just been brought in by our new CEO which meant there was only ever going to be one winner.

I certainly am excited. As billy says. Onwards and upwards. It's only a forum at the end of the day.

I'd be more worried if we had a manager that everyone agreed on.

Read the quips made about the two spaniards on vairous threads. Where is Bob Klulesski? I miss is parables of drivel about why were are all wrong and how he was handed a 5 yr deal and the 2 spaniards made a pigs ear out of it all.

Do you and others now see that the reason it was messy is because Barca leaked it because we got Pellegrini and he was their choice to take over from Tito. It was messy because it was beyond our control. If we weren't careful and assertive we would and could have ended up with a David Moyes :(
