I bet Shears is loving this thread.

Don't forget the factor 50 Shears..wouldn't want you going all pink at the beach!!

I will never ever slate Mancini for what he did for us-ever. Anyone who does is just a cnut however I understand and support the reasons why he was sacked. Pellegrini has my 100% support.
Have we ever been told what he did
I have come to the conclusion he has def upset some folk at the club
I've read on here that it was horrendous how he treated the backroom staff and playing squad

I hope I find out one day what he did :)

I think it was just his general management of the players etc. I heard about the Boateng incident but other than that I always thought a bosses job is to tell people what to do. Maybe some of our pre madonna footballers just didnt't like being told what to do

I think it's the complete opposite. I don't think he told them enough individually, what he wanted from them. That is the theme coming from recent interviews praising Pellegrini.

Mancini was clearly a great thinker but an absolutely awful man manager and didn't treat people as human beings. Him trying to 'help' Balotelli is a case in point. Hopeless.

I didn't want him sacking at the time but now I'm relieved he has gone.

Not a very nice man imo & not half as good as he thinks he is as a manager.

I can't be sure how Pellegrini will do but it's looking great so far. I am however conviced that keeping Mancini would have led to a disasterous season, whatever the long term outcome.

I agree with most of your post mate but I always thought a managers job was to win trophies whatever it takes.

There's little flecks of blood and saliva all over the last two pages of posts .

I love it. Makes me feel warm inside ;-)
You have a highly amusing way of delivering your venom, DD ;-)

You're very odd.
I can assure you, I'm much odder.

I have no doubt you are GDM. However you are much odder in a humourous way and not in a nasty way. There is a big difference.

You can get away with being a piece of work, so long as you keep winning. As soon as you fuck up...

Amazing how many people on here know Mancini personally and the ins and outs of his management style. It must have been a miracle that this "offensive" guy has had his teams winning trophies wherever he has managed. Not only that, the fans sing his name at every game and he even gets the king of mind games - Fergie - to lose his rag on route the title.

Exactly. And he was a piece of work par excellence. I believe the club refused to give him a reference, at least partly because of one particular thing he did. I'm not saying anything on here or in pm's as it may prejudice ongoing actions & negotiations but I believe the club will let the world know what an utter piece of shit he was in the near future. Even the most die-hard "inner" will reconsider their support for him when this comes out.

You can't knock what we won under him but anyone saying "he should have been given another season" will realise just how wrong that is.

Friendly or not...i don't think we would have created as many good chances against Bayern under Mancini. With Pellegrini in charge, and Txiki in charge of identifying the players. I have confidence that City can finally challenge Europa's elite sides...while under Mancini things only looked good domestically.

The friendly against Bayern might have shown us what kind of ties we can expect against the best teams in Europe under Pellegrini. Very happy that Mancini is gone.

If this is the case, and I'm not implying that I doubt you, it will be rather sad. I was in favour of him leaving and his apparently poor interpersonal skills was one of the reasons for that but I have no wish for his name to be dragged through the dirt.

That said, I'm now intrigued to know what he did.
