The loss of Negredo has had a big impact so far.

We didn't replace him.

Should Aguero get injured now we'd basically be fucked because Dzeko is hit and miss and Jovetic isn't really a striker.

We need to replace Negredo in January.

Thoughts?

I personally don't want us wasting more money on a squad player which is what we will get in Jan.

Scoring goals is not a problem it's keep clean sheets....

Dzeko will score goals when he gets his chance in the team. This is what he has done all through his career and especially at City. Jovetic will play well when the side starts to play well. We don't need another striker.

Paco Alcacer, we could do the deal in January as a down payment on Negrado, yes he wouldn't be a starter but he is young and very talented aswell as available for the European tournaments. He has a serious eye for goal and is already in the Spain national team.

I've just watched the Aberdeen-Celtic game. Not convinced about the standard, but Guidetti has obviously made an impact amongst the Celtic support, mainly through his boundless energy and enthusiasm.

If anything, he strikes me as a Dickov type who would run and run, (and pick a few fights), but never quite be in the right place to score goals at the top level.

Ironically, it;s that type of player, who could hold the ball, and win a few free kicks, that City currently lack, even if only as another option, when things are going wrong.

Whether City need a 4th striker is debatable, especially as Chelsea only have 3, and even bigger fitness concerns over Diego Costa.

I suppose if we are out of Europe it would solve any squad and transfer restriction problems, so then we could add a striker to the squad.

Papers seem to think it's Jay Rodriguez.

He needs to have more than one decent season to move to a team like ours in my opinion, plus he plays as a winger forward and for me he isn't that quick direct winger forward like Reus or Sanchez which we are crying out for.

I think Vargas would be a good link up man for Aguero.
