Good luck with the thread, OP. I‘m sure it will be a magnet for posters of open mind and moderate opinion to engage in friendly, balanced discourse.

All of it is typical looking down on people , ask every woman in your life if they have been flashed at, harrassed by groups of men walking down the street or touched up in their lives let alone more serious assaults , if they are scared walking on their own after dark , they are allowed to stand together and protest it, you shouldnt have to think about safety any more than men doCould you be a bit more specific...
Sort of reflects the dynamic around the protests. I'm sure 99.99% of us all agree that we need to save the environment, treat black people fairly, and not rape /beat women, but somehow we end up so divided.Good luck with the thread, OP. I think most people on here would agree, it's not the people who originally decided to hold the 'vigil' that were the issue but a group of 'scum' who hijacked it for their own agenda.Protest is a legitimate and important part of democracy. I've been on genuine demos in the past and there was no trouble. That starts when outsiders with an agenda hijack the event. London Sunday: There was a slogan board held up which said: "Get the fascist police off our streets."
Draw your own conclusion.
Not with the current lockdown rules they aren’t.All of it is typical looking down on people , ask every woman in your life if they have been flashed at, harrassed by groups of men walking down the street or touched up in their lives let alone more serious assaults , if they are scared walking on their own after dark , they are allowed to stand together and protest it, you shouldnt have to think about safety any more than men do
This was a vigil, a silent nod to sarah and safety walking home
TBF there seems to be pretty much unanimous support for the viewpoint that these "protestors" are in the main, arseholes.Good luck with the thread, OP. I‘m sure it will be a magnet for posters of open mind and moderate opinion to engage in friendly, balanced discourse.
They had every safety thing going , it was a properly organised event , dont see men on here complaining about other people on the streetsNot with the current lockdown rules they aren’t.
Its not a vigil though is it. It was so predictable that it would get hijacked by all the looney tunes . Rent a mob are never far away in London. I agree with your sentiments . I have a daughter and granddaughters & I constantly worry about them but I also worry about my sons and grandsons safety as well. All of it is typical looking down on people , ask every woman in your life if they have been flashed at, harrassed by groups of men walking down the street or touched up in their lives let alone more serious assaults , if they are scared walking on their own after dark , they are allowed to stand together and protest it, you shouldnt have to think about safety any more than men do
