A total overhaul is needed.

we have good players. but not enough great players.
We must be the most predictable team in football, wide open to counter attack, soft in the centre, random up front.
We can take nothing positive from our CL campaign, very little from our league performances.
The same players who became champions last year look as though a top four place will be a struggle.
To get back on track we need to put clean sheets first and foremost, if that means playing on the counter, then so be it. to continue like we are is not an option, Surely to fuck.
MP is probably safe, if only because there seems to be no-one else available. Trouble is, he seems to be incapable of getting the best out of this group of players in Europe especially, talk of scraping through this year is whistling in the dark.
Lose on Saturday and the brown stuff will definitely hit the fan.

This team does not lack ability or fitness in any area, it lacks pride in battle at times and if you look at our recent record, its the lesser teams that beat us, the top sides we can deal with. We just need the players to pull together and realise what they are capable of if they do that. Way too many post on here spitting fire and damnation, last night it is deserved, we were crap beyond belief but for me, I wouldn't swap the 1-0 victory over the rags for a victory last night.

We need to start creating an atmosphere at home to rival the away games, the silence in the stadium was deafening last night and its the same for some league games too. We can all do our bit to drag us out of this poor period we are having.

I'm just hoping we don't qualify for the Thursday night cup, that would be a disaster too..!

Backsides need kicking.

Players taking to Twitter to apologise and say we're still in it. Well why not for once just turn up and perform and prove it on the pitch? All mouth. There's a lot of very experienced players in Europe, but they are not top players until they perform as a team in Europe and yet again they humiliate the club and its supporters. Do they care? I think they do? I hope they do.

I am worried what impact this will have on our domestic season. Games like that can destroy a team, but we've seen this quite a few times now.

I'm just shocked that once again this has happened. How many times? CSKA, Ajax etc. These teams are poor. They're not even mid-table standard.

These teams are often the best from a very indifferent league. I cannot think of any past English champions, or CL team which plays a Euro game with such little urgency, panache, guile. Every fuckin pass has got a second class stamp on it!

The group were in isnt hard by the looks of it. If you see what Bayern done to Roma and what Roma done to CSKA its not the hardest of groups. We cant seem to pass the ball around like normal. We try to over play the ball way too much and its a joke. I think the best we do in the last 2 games is win against Bayern as there through they might rest players. Then go to Rome and hope if we win there we get the second place. Goals win games and add a bit of fight and passion and we can still do it. I beleive in the team to do it and so I hope they can get 2 wins if we cut the mistakes and play with a more solid team we can beat any team on our day.

A number of problems for me.

Signing too many average players for too much money. Aguero was our last big signing in 2011. Since then we have also missed out on Van Persie, Hazard De Rossi and Isco. We have spent almost £200m in the last 3 seasons on players who will not be sold for any more than we bought them for unless things change dramatically in some of their performances.

Contract extensions to the likes of Nasri/Dzeko/Kolorov and Clichy who for 75% of their time here have also been average.

Not one youth player making the side in the 6 years since the takeover leading to more of point one.

Total overhauls with the current transfer committee making the decisions would not end well.

A lot of common sense here. Why is Nastasic not in the squad? He's better than Mangala and DeMicheles. None of our recent signings have been value for money. Seems crazy that we let Negrado go out on loan and kept Jovetic.

I agree. Majority of this squad has run its course. The likes of Clichy, Dzeko, Milner, Nastasic, Sinclair, Yaya Toure at least need shipping out. Time for new spark and couple of star signings to push us forward.

Thought he has give his all this season...don't really think he has done much wrong to be fair. Would be harsh imo.

Yes nothing wrong with his efforts. But to me he isn't capable of hurting teams, you can run all day long but without quality it doesn't help much. Or do you see Real Madrid, Barcelona etc having the likes of Milner type players who can run all day long, but produce very little in terms of quality? Milner is not good enough in Europe. Decent player in PL, but not in the highest level.

I know where you're coming from,he may not be a '"world beater" but usually he is a vital part of the team in most games and i'd actually pick him in ahead of Nevas or Nasri for work rate. Can you name a proven replacement that would fit in well with our squad and is available to do so?
