A Trophyless Domestic Season

All anyone seems arsed about these days is basking in the reflected glory our club provides for them. They’re only happy when we win trophies or can laud it over other sets of fans, and when the team don’t give them that, they just call all the players and manager cunts and want them all out.

I’d rather be shit again and get rid of all these fuckers.

Doesn’t bother me having supported them since the mid 1950’s, I treat any trophy as a blessing.

The owners on the other hand must be getting concerned, how the hell are they going to fill a 60k seat stadium with the dross being served up on the pitch?

We need a complete reboot as most of the team that won 4 PL titles in a row are now completely fucked.

Think the question needs to be asked wether or not pep signing for 2 more seasons is going to be long enough to see this rebuild through, he could build the team in his image then fuck off after his contract is up and then a new manager will want to implement there style of play. We need to hit the ground running next season.

Not winning a trophy I’m old enough to remember tens of years without a trophy, the youngsters today have been spoiled rotten, let’s see how they would react to a few trophy less years. Football comes in cycles and ours us coming to a slow and painful end
The youngsters don't seem to have a problem with not winning. Seems it's mainly the older fans who don't like it. It's not a slow and painful end, it's just a year without a trophy

We need to get use to not winning as it’s gonna be a reality going forward.

I’ve gotten between 180 and 270 extra minutes each week which has been great tbf. Our years with Pep have been fantastic and I’m quite surprised we managed to win 4 in a row when last season was not that great either.

Important thing now that this season really is an exception so we don’t end up like the rags post Ferguson. Next year we have to be back at it again like Liverpool after Klopp and ideally win a trophy or two again. With or without Pep.
We got 91 points last season. How is that not a great season?

For me It’s never been about winning trophies , I’ve always got enjoyment from the day out home or away . As you say the chances of filling the extra seats are diminishing rapidly . The new fan base are only interested in success .

Tbh this is how I feel, it’s fucking boring football. When I used to play even if we lost as long as I’d enjoyed it, winning wasn’t the main thing. Today was like many over the last two seasons it’s like pulling teeth mostly down to other teams parking the bus but also because we can’t do anything about it. I even agree with Neville it’s anti football.
As to the original question I’ve seen us win everything we don’t have a god given right to win something however winning something next year will make the losing feeling disappear. Let’s face it, it could be worse we could be rags or dippers.
The opposition park the bus but City are the problem?

No but our way of breaking them down is, even when we have the chance to break away we don’t we allow the opposition to regroup that’s City’s problem, yesterday when Haaland was put through and the keeper was sent off was the only time we went long and it nearly paid off, far too many times we dither on the ball, that’s was great when we had the players to unlock the “bus” now we don’t and urs the same turgid football. Can you name the last time you thought we played outstanding football? I can’t.
