A weakened team against West Ham

Basically echo what everyone else says.

But what kind of uproar would this cause, picture the scene...

Spurs, 1 point behind us, news had come that they had beaten whoever they played 3-0 and were now waiting on our result, better goal difference, we need to win to get 4th place, West Ham need to win to stay up, ball comes to our Carlos in the last minute of extra time, on the edge of the area, one on one with the keeper and he slips it past him into the bottom corner in front of the travelling City supporters...

... then Carlos just falls to the floor, and the City army go crazy behind that goal!

That'd be 1 sight to behold, unfortunately I won't have anywhere near enough points so will be watching either on Sky, or a dodgy stream..... :o)

On the off chance that by the last game at WHU, we're in 4th and mathematically can't be touched. Would you play a weakened team?

If WHU are fighting on the last day to stay up and need a win, there could well be a kick off from other clubs if we did. With what happened to Wolves and their suspended fine, would it be worth it?

I would say yes, would hate to see west ham go down, after city,i look for there results first.True fans like us and i visit upton park quite often when i am in london with a friend who supports them.

well no - because we need to win every game and do not want to end the season with a defeat

that said - I have a lot of friends that are WH fans and think that they are very similar in attitude to CITY fans - genuine blokes - so a lot of me wants them to stay up

that said - now those self-serving leeches have taken over that just want to milk money for themselves - well it would be poetic if they then got relegated

I would'nt exactly put out a weakened side because that would'nt be fair to City fans but having said that WHU are a great club with great fans and would hate to see them go down.

No way - survival of tyhe fittest and if WHU leave it to the last game to secure there place in the league and we gub them 4-0 - too bad.

I personally would enjoy sending West Ham down at Upton Park.

I would play a strong starting XI and have some 2 or 3 kids on the bench to bring on if we are 2 or 3 up with 15 to go.

who on earth would want west ham to go down, they a proper club with proper fans.

I don't mind West Ham either, but they are 'due' a relegation after the Tevez affair, which was, quite frankly, disgraceful.

Once they go down, I can go back to not minding them!

Agreed.

I'd like to see us play our squad players should we be fortunate enough to be in a position to do so.

A manager picks his team, the FA should fuck off and carry on thier corrupt unbalanced efforts to ensure the same teams finish at the top year in, year out... if we can make them look like fools and get rid of that ridiculous rule, then why not.

West Ham should get something out of the Sunderland & Wigan home games and that will be enough to keep them in the premierleague as Burnley & Hull are total shite and I can't see either getting more then 6pts from their remaining fixtures (still can't believe we fcuking dropped 6 pts to these clowns!!!)

So it'll probably be a case of West Ham fielding a weakened team against us I would say.

Tevez is destined to score the goal that relegates West Ham to complete the circle. Denis Law moment?

What exactly would we be resting our players for ? A Cup Final appearance the following week?

Also, not happy that a lot of our supporters seem to have forgotten about Sheffield United and the Tevez affair. Like many Football fans I always had a soft spot for West Ham but it ended because of that. Similarly; my soft spot for Ipswich is on hold until they sack the Pikey.

If the hammers are safe before the last game and it is between us and spuds for fourth their will be about 35,000 in the ground cheering on MCFC.

How many matches can be televised on the last day?
It is still possible that 11 clubs will have something to play for on the final day of the season
