city will not beat these they are a very good side

drew with united at ot
drew at celtic
beat celtic at home

and scored 6 agains deportievo

Drew at united when man u were already through, beat celtic in denmark but celtic didnt win away in years and plenty of teams went to celtic and got something. Man u battered them 3-0 in denmark it could of been 5 or 6.

I'm not sure that European pedigree matters that much. After all, it's not like we have any European pedigree in the last 30 years. Can't say I know much about them. Looking at them in the Champions League, Celtic are bobbins and wasn't it a meaningless fixture for Utd when they played?

I think they deserve a lot of respect, will be an extremely difficult 2 ties BUT if we had been offered them in the last 16 we would have taken it. We are the favourites without a shadow of doubt and if we have any aspirations of winning the cup then teams like Aalborg should not phase us! I would expect that many people will now have us as favourites for the competition!

And they're 14 points behind Copenhagen in the league.

Which probably means we're in for a hard time! ;-)

Agreed. I think we should be looking at beating Aalborg over two legs. Out of the other teams we could have faced I think this is a very good draw for us.

Surely it's not just me who's having difficulty getting their head around the fact in some quarters we are being spoken about as favourites? There are some decent sides left in the competition with far more European experience than us, and we are still extremely inconsistent.

Well they have a new manager... and their second part of the league is about to start... they won the danish league last year and had an awful fall... but they are a good side... you dont score 6 goals on La Coruna without quality... im not scared but has a healthy respect for them...
