With all due respect to mancfanaarhus I would class the lower Scottish leagues slightly higher, and that does not mean that any team can not win on the day, it's a cup competition after all

celtic poor away
a lot of teams get results at celtic
deportivo fielding a weakend side

They have had quite a lot of luck! Bruce Rioch started off the campaign as their Manager, they were doing well in Europe and were in the bottom 3 after the first few months of their season. Rioch was eventually bagged, the guy in temp charge went something like 12 games undefeated and never got the job!! The first Champions League game they came to Parkhead for a draw, Barry Robson missed a penalty, were under a lot of pressure and they got a point from a 0-0 draw. They then beat Celtic at home with a deflected goal from a shot that was going wide and an own goal on 87 minutes having been one down (Nakamura also missed a one on one with their keeper in the first half which would have changed the game).

Last week when they played Deportivo i'm sure on the Eurosport goals round up the commentator said something about La Caruna travelling minus 7 first team regulars? 3-0 down from the first leg they weren't likely to overturn that. As someone already posted Villa and Spurs have fielded weakened sides for a couple of reasons one of them being they are more or less guaranteed European football next season, City are out the domestic cups and it is unclear if they can put together a run to finish in a top 7 UEFA Cup spot so this campaign represents the best chance not only for silverware but to be involved in similar competition next season. Be positive, I think City will do it over the 2 legs, don't think i'm up to two shaftings in the one season from the same mediocre Danish side!!
