Yes, Marcotti reckons someone saw 250k and decided it was net, not gross.
He seems pretty certain that Juventus would not pay 400k/week, and wouldn't pay a signing on fee that would take it up that high if spread over the contract (30M signing on fee would be needed, or something).

The 3.7M extra expenses Juve have announced is likely to be the 7% agent commission.
That brings the whole contract to around 52M.
Over 4 years, that's near enough 250k/week.
