Great pop band , and superb vocalists....
Be biggest come back tour ever if they ever reformed..

The impact that ABBA made in their ten years or so together was absolutely phenominal , and their music is still heard everywhere ...... they may not have been everyones cup of tea , but they were definitely a lot of peoples , all over the globe ....... they have sold over 370 million records , and are still selling records , even now.

The guys were brilliant musicians , the ABBA sound was unique , you still recognize it instantly .... and the girls had harmonies that were second to none.

Like them or loathe them ABBA spelt out sheer genius ....... they will never reform because they know they will never be what they were , and few can blame them ..... they had the perfect balance of sex appeal , charm and sheer musical brilliance.
So, basically this post is saying thank you for the music.

When all is said and done.....yes, i think he is.

They were seen as 'cheesey' and 'great' back in the day, it was quite fashionable to have a pop, I regularly did, but as I've mellowed in time I've come to recognise certain things, one of them being they were indeed a 'Supergroup', and what BM says above is spot-on.

They were complete one offs as most european music is fucking crap. British, Irish and Americans are responsible for the best music.

Spot on .Abba were great and were the total exception to the much known fact that European pop/rock is utter shite.
Has there ever been a decent French singer, or half right Rock band?
Charles Aznavour, Maurice Chevalier and 75% tax. No wonder they're all fucking off.

Quite liked Kraftwerk

They're nowhere near my taste, but, they (Benny and Bjorn) have written some of the best POP records of all time.

imho, The Day Before You Came (their last record together) is one of the finest pieces of story-telling music you'll ever hear, yet it only peaked in the early 30's in our charts.
check it out on YouTube, only make sure you're wearing a boxing glove when you see Agnetha on the train, or else you'll go blind, if you listen to certain old-wive's tales.

The guys were superb musicians , the ABBA sound was unique , and instantly recognizable , even today 30 years after they split .... and the girls had harmonies that were second to none ...... ABBA , as a band oozed professionalism , and when love eventually soured , things turned difficult , and they themselves began to question their spirit , they called it a day as a foursome.

Nah, they were crap also BU. The nearest thing I suppose was A-HA. Most of them are so far behind the times it's laughable. Their bands have a really fit bird with a few blokes who still dress like it's the mid 80's. The europeans at work think shite like scatman john and "I'm blue da da dee da da da", is good music. Fucking arseholes.
