We have no LB. No RB really (Walker is finished). No DM (as Rodri is out), no back up for Haaland. Just don't understand why we are looking at a 7th centre back with the other issues/lack of players we have elsewhere. I agree CB isn't perfect but with the limits on the numbers we can bring in this window, this can surely wait for the summer window!!

The club hates real Fullbacks. If it was a dream.. pep would go for CB and CM only for all 11 positions.

Yeah I'm not saying CB is perfect. Just less required than the other positions I mentioned. We simply cant go thru the rest of the season without buying a DM. We could muddle thru at CB imo. Akanji at RB is another square peg in a round hole.
 
I think the rumours of this lad being linked to Madrid is just PR. The Spanish rags are cheapskates anyway. They just wait for players to run their contracts down as they dont want to splash the dough. We will defo get this guy before the January window closes

Madrid may be in the market for a defender. They’ve lost 2-3 to ACLs in the first half of the season.
