sometimes you have to just bight the bullet (as with Rekik), play them in a game, hold your breath and hope they don't fuck up. then at least it will give you some confidence in that player.

Its just the initial chance that is so hard to come by, knowing the right moment when to make the call up. Rekik wouldn't have happened without injuries after all.

but isint that the ultimate plan to cultivate players give them chances since we scouted them and they should be monsters with experience. not just go out and buy every marquee player yearly. I still don't know why we bought rodwell and Garcia when we had razzak he did nothing wrong when i saw him come onto the pitch he actually impressed. it just makes no sense. kinda like that Chelsea midfielder they keep praising and yet he keeps getting pushed back cuz they keep buying replacements in midfield and then he ends up loaned out. and yet where he gets loaned out to he plays really well. kinda also like lukaku.

Are you referring to josh mceachran? He's shit

ye i think so. not 100 percent sure. and if thats him hes not that bad.

He's 20 now. I think we would have had more faith in him and played him more by this age if we were serious about his development being of a high enough standard for the first XI in the near future. With Yaya Rodwell García Barry Milner and the fact we looked at Martínez and put a bid in for Di Rossi; i don't think we are seriously looking at Razak being part of our team.

He got the same hype as Wilshere, new English Xavi and all that..
Yet he went to swansea, coudnt get a game and is in the championship at boro I think, and I'm not even sure he's impressing there. Another victim of the media hype curse

I don't think this is the case. The squad system allows a maximum of 17 foreign players [with the exception of those who are raised through the academy system] and we can't keep buying expensive foreigners forever, especially with FFP designed to hold us back. If Razak gets a full 12 months in at a 'safe' EPL club such as Swansea or WBA, we will know for sure if he has the qualities to make it big and save us a fortune, or at least do enough for us to sell him on for a reasonable profit.

He wouldn't displace Molumbu or Yacob in West Brom's midfield and he wouldn't displace Briton or De Guzman at Swansea. It owuld have to be a lower ranked club.

I dont understand the point of having a fantastic academy or investing heavily in youth if they dont get a run out in the first team (since its all about results and u cant risk blooding kids in). Hes a talented player when ive seen him come on but i highly doubt he will get a proper run in. look at chel$ski they have like the best youth team but they never play in the first team. even united they (claim to bring there players up and yet u see hardly any of them).
They have quite a few academy players in there squad, the adulterer, Scholes, Wellback, Evans and Cleverley.

True but. Scholes and giggs are old so in reality its evans and wellback. 2 players out of there how many schools and prospects.. i really dont see the point in academies and youth structures when they realistically wont get a run in.
And Cleverley....3 for the future and present. You can make alot of money from selling academy players and on the same hand it could save you alot of money.
That´s the key isen´t it, to entrust young players and hope they grow can grow and contribute to the team. Barca have done a pretty good up until now...
