The thing is though why don't we just get the plans in place, then in about 2 seasons time during the summer (when i'm pretty sure we would of qualified for the Champions League) do all the work and get it up to 60,000. We would defo fill it the following season.
The stadium isn't made out of lego. Therefore, it will take a little bit longer than two months to do all the required work.

If ADUG want to do this, they will get it done at the earliest opportunity. One of the things I like most about Emiratis is that once they decide they want something, they just go ahead and do it. They don't spend years pussy-footing around with feasibility studies and calculating their ROI down to the minutest detail, as is the case back home.

It's all a bit back to front to us, but they just build things and then figure out how to turn them into viable developments. As fans, we worry about not being able to fill an expanded stadium, but this won't even have crossed their mind as they will make sure that doesn't happen, be it through cheaper tickets or by making us the biggest draw in the country.

Just chill and enjoy the ride.

The way I read the press release, it talked about a 12,000 expansion at North Stand end first (presumably 3rd tier extension) and then the possibility of a further similar expansion of another 12,000 seats at the other end of the ground. So possibly 72,000 seats eventually, god knows how often we'd fill that but the good sheik knows best!

I am sorry if you see me as pis+ing on the parade ...but city couldnt sell more than 30,000 for a cup game were tickets were a tenner for adults and a £ 5 for kids....do you really want eastands to be shown as empty as Juve last week?
